Abstract:
A faint-smelling, light-, heat- and/or air-oxygen-stabilised moulding material made of at least one styrene homopolymer or copolymer or acrylate or methacrylate polymers contain stabilising amounts of for example 0.01 to 1 % by weight alpha-tocopherol and 0.1 to 2 % by weight of an organic phosphite, in a quantitative ratio between alpha-tocopherol and phosphite from 1:1 to 1:4, and preferably 0.01 to 2 % by weight of a sterically hindered phenol. The percentages by weight refer to the polymer fraction. The organic phosphite is in turn stabilised with up to 5 % by weight (in relation to the phosphite weight) of an amine or alkanolamine.
Abstract:
Thermoplastic moulding materials contain as essential components: (A) 10 to 100 % by weight copolymers from monomers having the general formulas (I) and (II), in which R1 stands for H or an alkyl residue with 1-22 C atoms; R2 stands for H or an alkyl residue with 1-22 C atoms; R3 stands for H or an alkyl residue with 1-4 C atoms; a = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5; b = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5; (B) 0 to 3,000 ppm, in relation to the weight of component A, of compounds having the general formula (I); (C) 0 to 500 ppm, in relation to the weight of component A, of compounds having the general formula (II); (D) 0 to 90 % by weight, in relation to the total weight of the moulding material, of other polymers different from (A); and (E) 0 to 50 % by weight, in relation to the total weight of the moulding material, of other additives and auxiliary products.
Abstract:
The invention concerns polydienes obtained by the anionic polymerization of a diene using a bifunctional Li initiator and subsequent polymer-analogous reaction, containing at least one ethanolamine or oligoether-ol-amine terminal group of the general structure (I) in which R is alkyl or aryl; Ar is aryl; R is alkyl or hydrogen; R is aryl, alkyl or hydrogen and x is a number from 1 to 10.
Abstract:
The invention concerns non-drying chlorine-free copolymers of isobutene with C4 to C10 dienes having isolated or conjugated double bonds, the copolymers having a terminal-double-bond content of at least 60 mole %. The invention also concerns a method of preparing such copolymers.
Abstract:
O.Z. 0050/41827 Hydrocarbons and polymers thereof, of the structure (I) R-C(CH3)2-CH2-C(CH3)2-CH2-CH=CH-CH2-C1 (I) where R is a hydrocarbon radical, are prepared by reacting corresponding starting materials which contain chlorine bonded to tertiary carbon, of the structure R-C(CH3)2-CH2-C(CH3)2-C1 (II) with from 1 to 10 moles of butadiene in the presence of a Friedel-Crafts catalyst in a solvent which is inert to the catalyst, and the hydrocarbons or polymers thereof can be reacted in a further step of the process with a compound from the group comprising ammonia, primary or secondary amine or polyamine, amino alcohol, amino ether, hydrazine or hydrazine which is substituted up to three times.
Abstract:
A vented wall, e.g. for animal sheds, has a number of horizontal slats on pivot mountings. In the fully closed position the slats have an staggered overlapping pattern. The fully open position has the slats horizontal. The slats have minimum thickness for maximum venting and are pre-assembled in a support frame for ease of fitting, and are made of wood, glass, metal, plastic or any other suitable material. They can be linked by control bars, tapes or chains for ganged control.
Abstract:
A partition (2) consists of a series of pivoting slats, each with an L-shaped profile that when closed interlocks with the adjacent slat. The slats are rotated by e.g. a pushrod or cable to any selected angle.
