Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal strip for suction box which reduces the power it requires in operation and reduces damage to the product in shipping. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the seal strip for the suction box and the method for manufacturing it from a mixture which mostly consists of nitrile rubber and graphite. A seal blank is formed from the mixture and hardened at a chosen temperature wherein the mixture to be hardened contains wax. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new twin wire former capable of making an efficient removing water from paper even in a high speed and enabling the paper with uniform formation an appropriate porosity to be manufactured. SOLUTION: This twin wire former for a paper machine includes two forming wire loops (10 and 20), at least one dewatering box (30) and at least one load blade (40); wherein the forming wire loops forms a twin wire region therebetween, the dewatering box is disposed on the inside of one of the wire loops (10 and 20) and functions to remove water from a web(W) being formed via the wires, and the load blade is contacted with the wires inside the other of the wire loops (20 and 10) and disposed against the dewatering box (30); the dewatering box (30) includes at least three dewatering regions (30a, 30b), wherein every other region (30a) is vacuum (p), while the other every other region (30b) is not; the load blade (40) is disposed at a position facing on each of the non-vacuum region (30b) inside one of the wire loops (20 and 10) and there are the vacuum regions (30a) before and after the non-vacuum region.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for forming paper web from paper stock which is free from causing harmful effects such as undesirable distribution of fine and filler, etc., even in increasing traveling speed of a paper making machine. SOLUTION: There are provided the method and apparatus for beginning the formation of the paper web on a looped forming wire traveling in a continuous path, or between a pair of converging forming wires. The apparatus includes a headbox for jetting a stock stream onto the forming wire, or between the forming wires over the whole of the porous face surface of a forming shoe. A plurality of openings, for example, drilled holes, small slots, and honeycomb perforations are made on the porous face surface of the forming shoe to eliminate the water squeezed out by adjacent forming wire from the paper making machine by making the water travel by a controlled method using the forming shoe.
