A device for dispensing a flowable medium, includes a housing having a cavity for receiving the flowable medium, a rod mounted in a bearing section of the housing, wherein the rod is movable by means of an actuator between a first end position and a second end position in an axial direction, a dispensing opening, opening into the cavity, for dispensing the flowable medium, wherein the rod has a sealing section, wherein the sealing section closes the dispensing opening in the first end position and is arranged at a distance from the dispensing opening in the second end position, a bellows seal for sealing off the bearing section from the cavity, wherein the rod passes through the bellows seal, wherein the bellows seal is mounted in a sealed manner on the rod and in a sealed manner on the housing, wherein a first section of the bellows seal is connected to the rod in a manner fixed relative to the rod, and a second section of the bellows seal is connected to the housing in a manner fixed relative to the housing, wherein the bellows seal has at least one compensating section for compensating an axial compression or extension of the bellows seal, wherein the compensating section projects radially relative to adjoining regions of the bellows seal, and having at least one channel, opening into the cavity, through which the flowable medium can flow into the cavity, wherein a projection of a center line of a channel section of the at least one channel, said channel section opening into the cavity, onto a projection plane formed perpendicularly to the axial direction forms a circle tangent of a circle formed concentrically with the rod.

A slotted nozzle for discharging a liquid adhesive to a narrow edge of a substrate includes a nozzle body, a nozzle slot formed in the nozzle body, a passage in the nozzle body for supplying the adhesive to the nozzle slot, and a slot-shaped outlet opening of the nozzle slot. The nozzle body is configured in the region of averted ends of the nozzle slot that are based on the longitudinal extent of the nozzle slot in such a manner that an increased outlet of the adhesive through the outlet opening takes place in the region of the averted ends of the nozzle slot.

Auftragskopf (15, 115) zum Abgeben eines fließfälligen Mediums, mit einer Düsenkammer (10) im Inneren des Auftragskopfes (15, 115) und einer Düsennadel (11, 111), die im Inneren der Düsenkammer (10) bewegbar gelagert ist. Eine Öffnungsbewegung (P) der Düsennadel (11, 111) gibt eine Austrittsöffnung (12) frei. Weiterhin sind ein Zufuhrkanal (13) und eine Zufuhrleitung vorgesehen, um das fließfähige Medium in die Düsenkammer (10) einbringen zu können. Ein Antrieb (20) erzeugt die Öffnungsbewegung (P) der Düsennadel (11, 111). Der Auftragskopf (15, 111) umfasst weiterhin einen Hebelarm (30, 130), dessen erstes Extremalende (31) beweglich an einem rückwärtigen Ende (14) der Düsennadel (11, 111) befestigt ist und dessen zweites Extremalende (32) mit dem Antrieb (20) verbunden ist.

Verfahren und Vorrichtung (10), die mit mehreren Düsenöffnungen (14.1) und schaltbaren Klebstoffzuführungen (12) ausgestattet ist, wobei mindestens durch einen Teil der Düsenöffnungen (14.1) Klebstoff (K) abgebbar ist. Jede Düsenöffnung (14.1) ist durch ein Hochdrucknadelventil oder Hochdruckkolbenventil mit auf- und abbewegbarer Nadel oder Kolben (19) betätigbar. An jedem Hochdrucknadelventil oder Hochdruckkolbenventil befindet sich in einem rückwärtigen Bereich der Nadel oder des Kolbens (19) ein Schutzraum (40), welcher die Nadel oder den Kolben (19) dichtend umgibt. Der Schutzraum (40) ist mit einem Schutzmedium (SM) beaufschlagt.

A sealing arrangement having a rod seal for sealing a cavity for a flowable medium in the region of a rod includes an output apparatus for discharging the flowable medium. The rod is movably supported in a housing to be displaced in an axial direction. The housing has a bearing portion, wherein the rod seal is supported in a fixed manner and wherein the rod extends through the bearing portion and the rod seal so that a first rod portion and a second rod portion are arranged at different sides of the bearing portion. The first rod portion is located at a side facing the cavity and the second rod portion is located at a side facing away from the cavity. The rod seal is arranged at the side of the bearing portion facing the first rod portion and has a first sealing lip and a second sealing lip that are spaced apart from each other in the axial direction and circumferentially contact the rod. The bearing portion facing the cavity has a discharge structure having a support face which circumferentially surrounds the rod. The rod seal is in abutment with the support face and the support face has a diameter which increases in the direction of the second rod portion.

The melter further has an insulating body which encircles the filling opening and covers the wall section. The insulating body is elastically deformable for use in such a melter.
