PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a utensil which is of simple, compact, and inexpensive construction, is easy to stow and to wash in a dish-washer, while also being particularly safe to use.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a utensil for cooking food under pressure, which utensil comprises firstly a vessel 2 and a lid and secondly a control member 6 for controlling locking/unlocking of the lid relative to the vessel 2, in which the control member 6 is mounted to move on the lid between firstly a deployed position corresponding to the lid being unlocked, the deployed position being an abutment position in which the control member 6 is designed to be taken hold of manually in order to enable the lid to be handled, and secondly a retracted position corresponding to the lid being locked and in which the control member 6 is designed to be more difficult to take hole of manually than it is in the deployed position.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basket for cooking food in a steam atmosphere which shortens the time required for cooking food, which, especially, is capable of preserving vitamin existing inside vegetables, and which can be installed easily in any cooking utensil. SOLUTION: The basket 1 for cooking food is used for a cooking utensil designed to cook food 2 in the atmosphere filled with steam. The basket 1 includes: a base 6 permeable to steam; and an upper annular sidewall 8 upwardly extended from the base 6 so as to form a container to receive food in cooperation with the base 6. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a utensil for cooking food under pressure to prepare a controlling member which is simple and compact, has an inexpensive framework, is easy to clean, and controls locking/unlocking of a lid which is used safely. SOLUTION: A container 2, a lid 3, and a controlling member 6 for controlling locking/unlocking of the lid to the container are included. The controlling member is attached so that the controlling member moves on the lid between an operation position which is an abutting position which is designed so that the controlling member can be held by hand and the lid can be handled in response to the lid which is unlocked and a retracting position which is designed so that the controlling member is more difficult to hold by hand than in the operation position in response to the lid which is locked. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron provided with a multi-directional handle whose shape is optimized so as to bring excellent ergonomic property. SOLUTION: The iron is provided with a main body (2) loaded on a sole part (1) and a handle (3) forming a projection on the main body (1). The handle (3) is provided with an upper surface (31) forming the support surface for the palm and the first joints of the pointing finger and middle finger of a hand. The handle (3) is provided with a side face wall (32) extended from the upper surface (31) to the main body (2), and the side face wall (32) is provided with a holding part (32a) for receiving especially the end parts of the other fingers of the hand when the palm is applied on the upper surface (31). At the level value of the part, the side face walls (32) are roughly in parallel or slightly close to each other and the width of the handle (3) at the level value of the holding part (32a) is larger than 5 cm. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron including a handle forming a protrusion on the iron body. SOLUTION: In this iron including a body (2) disposed on an ironing surface (1) and a handle (3) forming a protrusion on the iron body (2), the body (2) includes a wall (21) converged toward the base part of the handle (3), the handle (3) is equipped with an upper surface (31) to form a receiving face for a palm and a side wall extended from the upper surface (31) of the handle (3) to the wall (21) of the iron body (2), and the side wall includes a grip part (32a) for receiving end parts of fingers. The iron includes a flange (4) for protecting fingers projecting in the lateral direction under the grip part (32a) of the handle (3). The flange (4) plays a role of a stopper for fingers to prevent fingers from being in touch with a high temperature wall (21) of the iron body (2) and is constituted so as to be separate from the ironing surface (1) so that the highest temperature of the wall (2) part placed under the flange does not exceed 55°C at the time of actuated.
