Abstract: A method for detecting power oscillation in an electric power grid, wherein the method comprises: integrating a filtered signal on a first interval, the filtered signal being associated with the electric power grid; based on the integration of the filtered signal on the first interval, determining a positive half-period area of the filtered signal and a negative half-period area of the filtered signal, one of the positive half-period area and negative half-period area being immediately subsequent to the other one; and determining that a power oscillation in the electric power grid is detected if the following two conditions are met:

a sum of the positive half-period area of the filtered signal and the negative half-period area of the filtered signal is below a first threshold; and
the absolute value of one of the positive half-period area and negative half-period area is above a second threshold.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method, performed by an electronic device, for control of operation of a wind turbine. The method comprises obtaining wind turbine data indicative of one or more alerting events of the wind turbine, wherein the wind turbine data comprises warning data indicative of a warning of the wind turbine, and/or alarm data indicative of an alarm state of the wind turbine. The method comprises obtaining sensor data from a plurality of sensors of the wind turbine indicative of operating conditions associated with the wind turbine. The method comprises predicting, based on the wind turbine data and the sensor data, an upcoming safety stop by applying a machine learning model to the wind turbine data and the sensor data. The method may comprise providing, based on the predicted upcoming safety stop, control data indicative of a controlled stop or a derating to be performed by the wind turbine.

Abstract: A method for controlling wind turbines of a wind farm is disclosed. The wind farm is positioned at a site which includes one or more turbulence generating structures, such as hills, valleys, trees or buildings. A wind direction at the site of the wind farm is detected, and one or more upstream wind turbines and one or more downstream wind turbines are identified, based on the detected wind direction, where each of the upstream wind turbines is arranged in front of one or more of the downstream wind turbines, as seen in the wind direction. If it is detected that turbulent wind conditions are occurring, based on measurements performed by the wind turbines of the wind farm, then at least one of the upstream wind turbines is controlled based on measurements performed by at least one wind turbine which is a downstream wind turbine relative to the upstream wind turbine.

Abstract: A method for operating a cluster of a plurality of wind turbines is disclosed. For each of the wind turbines, one or more parameter values of a parameter being indicative for a condition occurring at the wind turbine are derived, based the measurements obtained by the wind turbine. In the case that a derived parameter value for a specific wind turbine exceeds a trigger value, measures for mitigating an effect of the condition at the specific wind turbine are initiated. The derived parameter values for the wind turbines of the cluster of wind turbines are compared to an expected distribution of the parameter values. In the case that a distribution of the derived parameter values differs from the expected distribution of the parameter values, the trigger value is adjusted, and the adjusted trigger value is subsequently applied when comparing the derived parameter values to the trigger value.

Abstract: A wind turbine (10) includes a nacelle (14) with a longitudinal axis (LA) aligned with the flow of the incoming wind during operation. When so aligned, the nacelle defines a longitudinal direction (X). The wind turbine (10) includes one or more heat-generating components (22) and a modular cooler (24) operatively coupled to the one or more heat-generating components (22). The modular cooler (24) includes one or more cooling modules (30) with each including one or more cooling units (32). Each cooling unit (32) includes a heat exchanger (40) defining a cooling area (38), which defines a normal axis (NA) and a deflector plate (42) to divert the flow of the incoming wind by an angle less than 180° relative to the longitudinal direction (X). Each cooling unit (32) is oriented such that the normal axis (NA) is non-parallel to the longitudinal axis (LA). The modular cooler (24) is scalable in multiple dimensions to increase the cooling capacity of the cooler (24). A method of assembling the modular cooler (24) is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method of installing a wind turbine (10) at an offshore location. The wind turbine (10) includes a tower (18) and an energy generating unit (16). The tower (18) is configured to be secured to a transition piece (12, 42). Prior to shipping, the method includes electrically coupling electrical devices and/or systems (52) by cables (54) to energy generating unit (16) or wind turbine tower (18) or a test dummy therefor. The electrical devices and/or systems (52) are configured to be attached to transition piece (12, 42) once the tower (18) is installed. The method includes testing and commissioning the electrical devices and/or systems (52) while electrically coupled to the cables (54). Prior to shipping and after testing and commissioning, the method includes storing the electrical devices and/or systems (52) and attached cables (54) inside the tower (18). The cables (54) are long enough to permit the electrical devices and/or systems (52) to be attached to the transition piece (12, 42) without disconnecting the electrical devices and/or systems (52) from the cables (54).
