PURPOSE: A composition containing C. unshiu extract, cysteine, and vitamin C is provided to ensure anti-photoaging and whitening. CONSTITUTION: A composition for improving skin tone or whitening contains 0.01-80 wt% o f C. unshiu extract, 10-30 wt% of cysteine, and 10-50 wt% of vitamin C as an active ingredient. The composition is a food composition.

A cosmetic food composition with skin moisturization effect containing elastin as an active ingredient is provided to be applied to a health food for safe skin cosmetic purpose without worry of adverse reactions or poisoning while preventing skin damage by ultraviolet rays and providing moisturization effect. A cosmetic food composition with skin moisturization effect contains 10 to 100% by weight of elastin comprising peptide with a molecular weight of less than 5,000 Daltons. The cosmetic food composition is formulated into a pill, tablet, soft gelatin capsule, granule or drink. For an example, 30% by weight of elastin is mixed with 30% by weight of corn starch, 20% by weight of glycerin and 20% by weight of sorbitol powder and forming into a pill.

A composition for improving skin beauty is provided to promote generation of ingredients constituting a skin tissue and supply materials preventing skin dryness by comprising hyaluronic acid and a silk peptide, thereby showing excellent skin improving effect and moisturizing effect. A composition for improving skin beauty comprises 10-80 wt.% of hyaluronic acid and 10-80 wt.% of a silk peptide containing 30-33% of serine as active ingredients. The composition is formulated into a pill, a tablet, a capsule, a soft capsule, a granule or a drink.

A cosmetic composition containing the extract of Mentha Piperita for reducing skin irritation caused by retinoid is provided to inhibit expression of inflammation-causing materials such as ICAM-1 (intercellular adhesion molecule-1) and IL-1alpha(interleukin-1 alpha) factor. The cosmetic composition for reducing skin irritation and inflammation caused by retinoid contains 0.1-1 wt.% of the extract of Mentha Piperita which inhibits expression of IL-1alpha factor, and erythema and edema formation responses irritated by retinoid, wherein the retinoid is retinol, retinal or retinoic acid; and the Mentha Piperita extract contains 0.9-1.8 g/l of polyphenols having antioxidizing effects.
