Abstract: PURPOSE: A dental composition containing medicinal herb fermentation extract is provided to effectively suppress gingival disease bacteria and to prevent gingival diseases. CONSTITUTION: A dental composition contains 0.01-10 weight% of medicinal herb fermentation extract which is obtained by fermenting medicinal herb of Taraxacum platycarpum H. Dahlstedt, Gardenia jasminoides Ellis, Pulsatilla koreana Nakai, Pueraria thunbergiana Bentham, or Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi by yeast. The composition is used for treating marginal gingivitis. A method for preparing the medicinal herb fermentation extract comprises: a step of putting medicinal herb ingredients in a fermentation device together with purified water and dried yeast; a step of fermenting at room temperature for 24 hours; a step of performing thermal treatment; and a step of filtering.
