A method for determining individual sun protection factor required for protecting skin is provided to guide a usage and a selection of an ultraviolet protecting product based on a decided ultraviolet protecting factor. A method for determining individual sun protection factor required for protecting skin includes the steps of: deciding an individual's MED(Minimum Erythemal Dose); estimating an intensity of ultraviolet exposed to the individual; and obtaining a value computed by dividing the estimated intensity of ultraviolet by the decided MED.

CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for anti-aging, anti-oxidation, and anti-wrinkle contains 0.001-10 weight% of Phyllanthus urinaria extract as an active ingredient. The extract is obtained using ethanol, methanol, butanol, ether, etheracetate, or chloroform. The cosmetic composition is used in the form of skin softener, astringent, nutrition lotion, nutrition cream, massage cream, essence, eye cream, eye essence, cleansing cream, cleansing foam, cleansing water, pack, powder, body lotion, body cream, body oil or body essence.

A method for calculating a dangerous level of skincare claim and an information providing system thereof are provided to determine precisely and grade the dangerous level of the skincare claim caused by cosmetics, analyze the skincare claim easily in real-time, and transfer an analysis result quickly to a related department. A receiver(10) receives skincare claim from customers and manages a one-time skincare side effect claim, and a main server(20) communicates with the receiver through the network. A database(30) stores product information, consultation information, a score of each monitoring item, a skincare side effect score, a skincare side effect claim ratio, and management information of each dangerous level. An analysis system(40) includes an algorithm scoring the skincare side effect claim based on the score of each monitoring item and the consultation information, an engine calculating the skincare side effect claim ratio based on the consultation and product information, and a matrix grading the dangerous level from the skincare side effect score and the skincare side effect claim ratio according to a fuzzy logic. A related department(50) receives the management in an alarm type according to the dangerous level from the main server.

A cosmetic composition containing the extract of Mentha Piperita for reducing skin irritation caused by retinoid is provided to inhibit expression of inflammation-causing materials such as ICAM-1 (intercellular adhesion molecule-1) and IL-1alpha(interleukin-1 alpha) factor. The cosmetic composition for reducing skin irritation and inflammation caused by retinoid contains 0.1-1 wt.% of the extract of Mentha Piperita which inhibits expression of IL-1alpha factor, and erythema and edema formation responses irritated by retinoid, wherein the retinoid is retinol, retinal or retinoic acid; and the Mentha Piperita extract contains 0.9-1.8 g/l of polyphenols having antioxidizing effects.

A method for measuring a skin elasticity using a moire image is provided to read skin elasticity based on a wrinkle by calculating an object skin elastic index through the moire image. A method for measuring skin elasticity using a moire image includes the steps of: photographing the moire image of a skin; calculating a gap of a contour line shown in the photographed moire image, or measuring an angle of the contour line; and calculating a skin moire image elastic index based on the gap or angle. In the photographed moire image, a ratio of the minimum gap and the maximum gap is calculated by drawing a linear line which passes a central part of the contour line in a direction in which the contour line shown on the cheeks is extended wholly, measuring intervals between a first circle or a second circle on the linear line, and selecting a minimum gap and a maximum gap of the measured gaps. In the photographed moire image, an angle of the tangential line with the linear line is measured by drawing a linear line which passes a circumference of a mouth and drawing a tangential line of a contour line contacted with the mouth. Skin elastic indexes at the creek and the circumference of the mouth are calculated by a ratio of the minimum gap and the maximum gap and the angle of the tangential line with the linear line.
