Abstract: PURPOSE: A measurement system using a vehicle based multi-sensor and an operation method thereof are provided to enhance the efficiency of facility management and to enhance the quality of a public service since the state of a road facility can be recognized without the dispatch of a worker. CONSTITUTION: A measurement system using a vehicle based multi-sensor comprises a vehicle, a first camera(3), a second camera(5), a GPS(9), an IMU(11), a GPS/IMU integrated controller(13), a trigger device(15), an external synchronization unit(17) and a managing server(19). The first camera takes an image of the front view in a state of being mounted on the upper left of the vehicle. The second camera takes an image of the front view in a state of being mounted on the upper right of the vehicle. The third camera takes an image of the right view in a state of being mounted on the upper right of the vehicle. The GPS is installed in the vehicle and detects the current coordinates of the vehicle from a satellite.
