Abstract: PURPOSE: A cinerary urn and method for sealing cinerary urn is provided to prevent offensive odor and dust caused due to the spoilage of ashes of the dead, while achieving convenience for transportation and preservation of cinerary urn. CONSTITUTION: A method for sealing cinerary urn, comprises a first step of disposing ashes of the dead in a main body(100) of the cinerary urn and closing the cinerary urn with a lid(200) through a seal packing(400), wherein the main body of the cinerary urn or the lid is equipped with a branch pipe(300) serving as a passage interconnecting interior and exterior of the cinerary urn; a second step of disposing a vacuum pump adaptor into the branch pipe, evacuating air from the cinerary urn and maintaining interior of the cinerary urn at a vacuum state; a third step of installing a high frequency generator around the branch pipe, instantaneously heating the branch pipe, and sealing the cinerary urn by compressing and cutting the heated branch pipe; and a fourth step of performing a low temperature annealing process for the cinerary urn.
