    Abstract: PURPOSE: A checking method of a broken compressor is provided to produce reliable compressors by testing plural compressors on a chain conveyer at the same time and testing all of the assembled compressor with hands. CONSTITUTION: Plural compressors(1) are carried with regular distance on each pallet(11) when a chain conveyer(15) is started. A microcomputer checks the position of the compressors, based on signals from a sensor(55). The chain conveyer is stopped when the first compressor is detected by the sensor. Each pallet of the compressors are arranged on the opening of a conveyer table(17). Each cylinder under the conveyer table is raised up, and the pallets of each compressor are supported by the cylinders lifted toward the opening. At the same time, an isolating member(31) is dropped. The four compressors are kept in each noise measurement chamber divided by the isolating member. Each noise measurement chamber includes a microphone(51) on the front face of the compressor. When each compressor is driven, vibration and noise is generated and delivered to the microphone. The noise is displayed on a monitor. The microcomputer decides broken compressors if the noise exceed reference data. The broken compressors are removed from the chain conveyer by workers or an additional mechanism. The other compressors are tested in noise sequentially.
