비디오 복호화 방법에 있어서, 수신한 데이터 스트림으로부터 현재 슬라이스 세그먼트가 디펜던트 슬라이스 세그먼트인지 여부를 나타내는 정보를 획득하는 단계, 획득한 정보에 기초하여 현재 슬라이스 세그먼트가 디펜던트 슬라이스 세그먼트가 아닌 경우, 수신한 데이터 스트림에 포함된 예비 비트로부터 제한 정보(constraint information)를 획득하는 단계 및 획득한 제한 정보에 기초하여 현재 영상이 다른 영상의 예측을 위한 참조 영상으로 사용되는지 여부를 결정하는 단계를 포함하는 비디오 복호화 방법이 개시된다.

The method for encoding an image comprises the steps of: capturing an image; analyzing the captured image and dividing areas according to content types; determining a quantization parameter within a predetermined range according to the divided areas; and quantizing the captured image using the determined quantization parameter.

Disclosed is a method for encoding and decoding a multi-layer video. The multi-layer video decoding method includes the steps of: decoding a first layer picture and storing the decoded picture in a decoded picture buffer; marking the first layer picture as a temporal reference picture; acquiring the interlayer RPS information of a second layer picture which has a first POC equivalent to that of the first layer picture and is predicted to be inter-layered by referencing the first layer picture; marking the first layer picture marked as a temporal reference picture based on the interlayer RPS information as a long-term reference picture; and making an interlayer prediction for the second layer picture by referencing the first layer picture marked as a long-term reference picture.

Disclosed are a method and apparatus for encoding a multilayer video and a method and apparatus for decoding the multilayer video. The present invention identifies the type of a first layer picture by obtaining a NAL unit including the type information and encoding information of the first layer picture, identifies the type of a second layer picture which is set to be equal to the type of the first layer picture which includes the same POC as the second layer picture by obtaining the NAL unit of the type information and encoding information of the second layer picture and decodes the first layer picture and the second layer picture based on the identified types of the first layer picture and the second layer picture.

PURPOSE: An entropy encoding/decoding method for processing an image of a layered structure and a device thereof, and a symbol encoding/decoding method and a device thereof are provided to perform the four symbols encoding at once, thereby increasing the coding gain. CONSTITUTION: A reordering unit reorders the coefficients of an input residual image(601). A low frequency component and a high frequency component are separated for the efficient entropy coding through the reordering. A symbol encoder and a level encoder perform the symbol encoding and the level encoding of the coefficients at least two symbol units at the same time(603).
