본 발명에 따른 반도체 디스크는 사용자 데이터와 메타 데이터를 저장하도록 구성된 저장 매체와; 그리고 상기 저장 매체를 제어하도록 구성된 컨트롤러를 포함하며, 쓰기 동작이 외부로부터 요청될 때, 상기 컨트롤러는 상기 요청된 쓰기 동작이 상기 메타 데이터와 관련된 것인 지의 여부를 판별하도록 그리고 판별 결과에 따라 선택적으로 상기 사용자 데이터의 맵핑 정보를 갱신하도록 구성된다.

PURPOSE: A controller, an operating method thereof, and a memory system including the same are provided to improve error correction performance by correcting error bits. CONSTITUTION: A memory controller(30) controls a nonvolatile memory device(20). A command generating unit(31) generates a read command applied to the nonvolatile memory device. A buffer(32) receives the first page data outputted from the nonvolatile memory in response to a read command and the second page data including error position information corresponding to the first page data. A buffer combines a part of original data with the first page data based on error position information.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A storage apparatus, stream filtering method, and data storage apparatus including a non-volatile memory apparatus are provided to offer an effective data processing function by effectively merging processing results through the merger filter. CONSTITUTION: A filter manager(23) stores material type information and filtering condition provided from a host. Stream filters(26_1-26_N) extracts and searches data stored in the memory units of a main storage unit by responding to the control of the filter management unit. A merge filter(25) merges a extraction result with searching result searched from the stream filter by responding to the control of the filter management unit. The material type information and the filtering condition are freely established by the host.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A user device and a mapping data management method thereof are provided to store all the mapping information stored in a volatile memory to a nonvolatile memory before the power-off state of a storage device. CONSTITUTION: When sudden power-off does not occur, a host judges whether or not a user wants to perform the power-off for a user device(S1000, S1100). If the backup or storage operation is performed for the data operated in the host, an OS(Operating System) generates a power-off notification signal to a storage device(S1200, S1300). If the storage device stores user data and address mapping data to a non-volatile memory area, the host receives a power-off ready signal from the storage device(S1400).

PURPOSE: A storage unit based on a flash memory preventing exposure of secure data and a user device including the same are provided to improve the response speed about a host command. CONSTITUTION: A host transmits a invalidation command to a storage device(S1100). If the capacity of a area to delete exceeds the reference capacity, a SSD(Solid State Drive) controller records a location of the area to delete(S1110,S1120). The SSD controller processes the data recorded in the area to delete to a invalid data without recording the location of the area to delete(S1140). The SSD controller notifies the completion of execution of the invalidation command to the host(S1130).

PURPOSE: A non-volatile memory device and a programming method thereof are provided to prevent the disappearance of LSB(Least Significant Bit) data in the program fail state of MSB(Most Significant Bit) data caused by power outage, thereby improving the reliability. CONSTITUTION: A memory system(100) comprises a host(110), a memory controller(120), and a flash memory(130). The memory controller comprises a buffer memory(121). The flash memory comprises a cell array(131) and a page buffer(132). The flash memory comprises a decoder, a data buffer, and a control unit. The memory controller receives data and a write command inputted from the host. The memory controller controls the flash memory in order to write the data in the cell array. According to a read command inputted from the host, the memory controller controls the flash memory in order to read the data stored in the cell array.
