Abstract: A frame communication device in a broadband wireless communication system and a method are provided to enable a base station and a relay station to communicate with a terminal by using the same resources at the same time in the broadband wireless communication system using relay, thereby increasing radio resources usable for the base station to transceive data. During the first section of a subframe, base stations and relay stations perform communication(401). During transferring to the second section of the subframe, the relay stations and terminals of the first area conduct communication(403). During the second section of the subframe, terminals of the second area within a sector different from a sector where the relay stations are located perform communication with the base stations(405,407).
