Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for cultivating bean sprouts by using a bean-germinating solution made of powdered yacon, Polymnia sonchifolia, is provided to serve improved flavor and quality of bean sprouts capable of promoting digestion and preventing diabetes. CONSTITUTION: The method includes the following steps of: (i) soaking beans in water for 1-3hr and stacking up the soaked beans in a container; (ii) germinating the beans for 24hr by spraying the germinating solution composed of 70-90wt% of water and 10-30wt% of powdered yacon for 1-3min every 4-6hr; (iii) growing the germinated beans in the dark room for 7days to 10cm in height.

Abstract: While the manufacturing, polyethylene glycol and diethylene glycol are put in a mixing tank in which the agitating thermometer and cooling a circulating pump are equipped and are gradually mixed. Subsequently, diethyl glycol is again placed in the tank, agitated, and having a sulfate added therein in small amounts, agitated, thus dicyandiamide is totally melted, which is continuously agitated, cooled off, employing a cool circulating pump, then when it is 55-65 degree C, stop cooling, putting in a cool water for a production of whiteness promoting product.
