    Abstract: A reinforced matrix for a molten carbonate fuel cell, and a method for preparing the reinforced matrix are provided to improve mechanical strength and to lower manufacturing cost by using a reinforcing agent having a melting point. A reinforced matrix is a sintered body of a mixture comprising LiAlO2 as a matrix powder particle and B2O3 as a reinforcing agent. Preferably the LiAlO2 powder has a particle size of 1 micrometer or less. Preferably the reinforced matrix comprises 100 parts by weight of LiAlO2 and B2O3; 10-40 parts by weight of a binder; 10-40 parts by weight of a plasticizer; 1-5 parts by weight of an antifoaming agent; 1-2 parts by weight of a dispersant; and 140-350 parts by weight of a solvent.
