Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for culturing microalgae is provided to culture microalgae using mineral from mine drainage, thereby purifying the mine drainage while the microalgae are cultured. CONSTITUTION: A method for culturing microalgae comprises the steps of: supplying phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N) used in culturing microalgae; neutralizing mine drainage; supplying neutralized mine drainage of pH 6-8; culturing the microalgae using iron in the neutralized mine drainage; and separating the cultured microalgae and a supernatant.
