Abstract:
PURPOSE: An AC plasma display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the luminous property of a fluorescent material by additionally adding a metal nano material to the fluorescent layer. CONSTITUTION: A front panel(51) and a rear panel(61) are formed in parallel. An electrode for gas discharge is formed on the front or rear panel. A fluorescent layer(65) which is excited with the gas electrode of the electrode and emits light, is formed on the rear panel. A metal nano body(70) is formed on a fluorescent layer to improve the light emission property of the fluorescent material. The metal nano body is selected on the fluorescent layer according to the emission wavelength of each fluorescent material.

PURPOSE: Alternating current(AC)-plasma display devices are provided to improve brightness by including unarranged metallic nano-particles or arranged metallic nano-structures to improve the light emitting property of a phosphor. CONSTITUTION: A front panel(51) is arranged in parallel with a rear plate(57). An electrode for discharge a gas is formed on either of the front panel or the rear panel. A phosphor layer(61) is formed on the rear panel and emits light by being excited due to the discharged gas. Nano-structures(62) are arranged on the phosphor layer in order to improve the light emitting property of the phosphor layer.
