PURPOSE: An apparatus for recording partial encryption of a broadcasting program and a method thereof are provided to use an encryption standard and an encryption module which are used in a previous program. CONSTITUTION: A packet input unit(410) receives packets of a recording target broadcasting program. An encryption selection unit(440) outputs an encryption target packet to a first route. The encryption selection unit outputs a non-encryption target packet to a second route. An encryption processing unit(420) ciphers the encryption target packet in a predetermined encryption method. A storage unit(430) stores the outputted packet of the encryption processing unit and the non-encryption target packet.

DRM 상호호환성 제공 방법 및 이를 위한 DRM 모듈이 개시된다. DRM 프로세서는 인스톨된 DRM 에이전트들에게 리소스의 처리가능여부를 문의하는 처리가능질의메시지를 전송하여, 각 DRM 에이전트들로부터 리소스의 처리가능여부에 대한 응답메시지를 수신하면, 그 응답 메시지를 기초로 리소스의 처리가 가능한 DRM 에이전트를 파악하여 로드함으로써, 디바이스의 DRM 상호호환성을 제공한다.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for extracting and decision-making of spatio-temporal feature in broadcasting and communication systems are provided to easily detect the copy of a video image, adopt various edit effects and improve a processing time. CONSTITUTION: An original video image feature extractor(120) receives an original video image and extracts the feature information of the original video image. An original video image feature database(130) stores the extracted feature information, and a query video image feature extractor(150) receives a query video image and extracts the feature information of the query video image. A feature information comparison/discrimination unit(160) compares and discriminate the feature information of the query video image.

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for transmitting/receiving broadcasting program ID information are provided to transceive broadcasting program ID information together with a broadcasting program, thereby easily identifying the broadcasting program. CONSTITUTION: Audio/video bit streams for at least one broadcasting program are obtained(S402). Broadcasting program ID information corresponding to the broadcasting program is obtained(S404). A media file in which audio/video bit streams and metadata are included is generated(S406). The media file is transmitted(S408). The metadata includes the broadcasting program ID information and reference information for the audio/video bit streams.

A system renewability message providing method and a system Renewability Message Using the method and an apparatus thereof are provided to secure the reliability of a content protection system which includes a broadcasting program by using a system updating message. A system updating message container information(101) includes list information for protecting contents, and the system updating message container information is defined in a format of an ISO media file. The access to the contents of a terminal is restricted by the system updating message container information, and cancellation list information includes the identification information or authentication information of a system of which security is damaged and is restricted based on the user device identification information or the authentication information for the contents. Cancellation list information includes the list information which is analyzed by a cancellation scheme and the identification information for the scheme. The system updating message container information is placed at the highest level of a file, and includes system updating message information(104) and the number information for the system updating message information.

A contents protection providing method using scheme information, a protected contents consuming method and an apparatus thereof are provided to prevent the illegal copy of digital contents due to transmitting scheme information to a terminal by generating the scheme information. Protected scheme information(101) is the information used for the protection of the contents. The protected scheme information includes scheme type information(103) including the identifying information of the protection scheme, the scheme information(105) including the detailed information of the protection scheme and original copy format information(107). The protection scheme comprises the scheme ciphering the contents as the scheme protecting the contents. The contents comprise meta data describing the information about media data such as audio or video or the contents.

A domain searching, managing, and operating method for effectively managing a plurality of domains is provided to manage a plurality of domains efficiently through separation and combination of the domain between a domain managing apparatus and a user apparatus. A search request message is transmitted to a domain management apparatus through network(102). A search response message about the search request message is received from the domain management apparatus(103). The domain management apparatus communicating based on the search response message is determined.
