An apparatus for reducing power consumption of a receiver in a high-speed wireless communication system and a control method thereof are provided. The apparatus for processing a signal in a receiver of a wireless communication system includes a carrier sensor configured to sense a carrier used in the wireless communication system, a decoder configured to decode the detected carrier signal to a signal and data, and a controller configured to control supplying power and a clock only to the carrier sensor during carrier sensing, and supplying power and a clock to an overall receiver when a carrier is sensed.

PURPOSE: A method for generating and transmitting a frame in a wireless local area network and an apparatus for supporting the same are provided to provide high reliability and an efficient service to a sensor network which demands a wide coverage by expanding the service coverage of a wireless LAN system. CONSTITUTION: A short training symbol for coarse frequency offset estimation and timing synchronization is transmitted to a reception STA(Station). A long training symbol for fine frequency offset estimation and channel estimation is transmitted to the reception STA. A first signal symbol including control information is transmitted to the reception STA. A second signal symbol including the control information is transmitted to the reception STA. A first data symbol is transmitted to the reception STA. A second data symbol is transmitted to the reception STA.

PURPOSE: A device for transmitting a relay frame in a wireless communication system and a method thereof are provided to transmit data to a receiver which is located outside of the transmission coverage. CONSTITUTION: A relay receives a relay request frame from a transmitter(S310). The relay transmits a relay response frame to the transmitter and a receiver(S315). The relay receives data from the transmitter(S340). The relay creates a relay frame including the data. The relay transmits the relay frame to the receiver(s415).

PURPOSE: A frame transmission method in a wireless communication system is provided to control transmission power by preventing the overlap of an interference signal. CONSTITUTION: A node determines bandwidth(S310). The node senses adjacent channels(S320). In case the extension of the bandwidth is unavailable, the node maintains the current bandwidth(S330,S340). In case the extension of the bandwidth is available, the node extends the bandwidth (S350). In case the reduction of the bandwidth is necessary, the node reduces the bandwidth(S360,S380). In case the reduction of the bandwidth is unnecessary, the node maintains the bandwidth(S370).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for transceiving data. A method in which a transmitting terminal transmits data to a receiving terminal in a MIMO system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the following steps: generating a data field containing the data; generating a signal field containing information on the data field; generating a data frame containing the data field and the signal field; and transmitting the data frame to the receiving terminal. According to the present invention, an end of the frame being transmitted is accurately notified to the receiving terminal in a communication system in which the frame is transmitted using MIMO, thereby decoding the frame in a more efficient manner at the receiving terminal.

PURPOSE: A transmission control method in a wireless LAN system is provided to control a transmission output according to a required traffic and required power consumption efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A first station receives path loss information including maximum among a path loss value between at lest one station and AP(Access Point) in a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) system from the AP(S301). By using path loss information, the first station controls a transmission output(S303). According to the transmission output, the first station transmits the frame(S305).

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for verifying a frame format in a wireless communication system are provided to improve the accuracy of the verification by comparing in-phase signal power and quadrature signal power. CONSTITUTION: A power output unit(902) outputs in-phase signal power and quadrature signal power in the pre-set section of a frame. A power comparison unit(904) compares the in-phase signal power and the quadrature signal power. A format verification unit(906) verifies a frame format based on the comparison result. A data-rate confirmation unit confirms data-rate information which is included in a frame.
