Abstract: 본 발명은 단말기와 기지국이 다수의 FA를 이용하여 통신할 수 있는 진화된 광대역 무선접속 시스템에서의 FA(Frequency Assignment) 상태 변경 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서 기지국은 p(primary)FA의 부하를 조절하기 위해 s(secondary)FA 중에서 하나를 pFA로 상태 변경하고, 상태 변경된 pFA를 통해 단말기와 통신을 수행한다. 이를 위해, 기지국은 pFA 상태 변경을 요청하는 MAP IE(Information Element)를 단말기로 송신한다. MAP IE에는 pFA의 상태 변경을 요청하는 액션 코드와 상태가 변경될 FA를 나타내는 비트맵이 포함된다. 단말기로부터 기지국의 pFA에 대한 상태 변경이 완료되었다는 응답이 수신되면, 기지국은 pFA의 상태를 변경하고, 새로운 pFA를 통해 단말기의 pFA와 통신을 수행한다. 기지국과 단말기간의 이전의 pFA는 sFA로 상태 변경되고, 기지국과 단말기간의 이전의 sFA 중 하나는 pFA로 상태 변경이 되어 이 새로운 FA들을 통해 통신이 수행된다. 본 발명에 따르면, 기지국이 필요에 의해 특정 단말기와 사용 중인 FA들의 상태를 변경시킬 수 있으므로, FA들 간의 부하 조절이 가능해진다. 또한, 기지국은 특정 단말기의 접속을 계속 유지하면서 사용 중이던 FA들의 상태를 변경할 수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A terminal, a method for handover thereof, and a supporting method for the handover of a base station are provided to minimize information broadcasted from a macro base station to a terminal and to reduce a load in searching for cells by the terminal when the terminal is handed over from macro cells to femto cells under an environment in which the plurality of femto cells are overlapped with the macro cells. CONSTITUTION: A base station(100) manages a macro cell(10). The macro cell includes a plurality of femto cells(21-24) that are managed by a plurality of femto base stations(210-240). A femto base station(200) manages a femto cell and is installed in a shadowing area where a radio wave from other cells is degraded. The base station and the femto cell are not limited to the dictionary definition of femto, but is a term that covers both a micro base station having a name in a larger unit or a smaller unit and a micro cell. The femto cell is divided into private femto cells and public femto cells. The private femto cells may be called a CSG(Closed Subscriber Group) and are femto cells in which objects that are capable of transmitting and receiving data through the corresponding femto cell are previously set. The private femto cells include an accessible private femto cell that can transmit and receive data through a corresponding femto cell and an inaccessible private femto cell. The public femto cells are called a public subscriber group, and are femto cells in which objects that are capable of transmitting and receiving data through the corresponding femto cell are not previously set, and thus the public femto cells are permitted for all the terminals. Meanwhile, the plurality of femto cells may be divided into a plurality of femto groups. A terminal(300) is an end point of a radio channel, and is connected to the femto base station or the macro base station to transmit and receive data.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An identification method and a device for generating a protocol data unit are provided to reduce a size of a PDU(Protocol Data Unit) header by including a flow identifier in a PDU header. CONSTITUTION: A media access control layer of a base station(10) allocates a station identifier for distinguishing a terminal in a cell(20) to the terminal(S110). The station identifier is allocated to the terminal when the terminal enters or reenters the network. The media access control layer allocates the flow identifier for distinguishing the connection in the terminal to the corresponding connection in the terminal(S120). The media access control layer of the base station transmits the flow identifier allocated to the corresponding connection to a header of the PDU(S130). The media access control layer divides the media access control identifier into the station identifier and the flow identifier. Each connection is distinguished by the combination of the station identifier and the flow identifier.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An effective hybrid-ARQ and ARQ scheme in a broadband wireless access system are provided to minimize an overhead of a feedback by interlinking HARQ and ARQ.
