Abstract: A method of controlling diagnosis information which inform the fact of error generation in an application layer protocall using a dialog function application is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: encoding diagnosis information according to the type of error after initiating operation for transmitting the diagnosis information when a protocol error is generated(1, 2); transmitting relative information including a survice quality to an other node after performing the encoding step; confirming an error on the process of encription/ decription in dialog function application part(TCAP); and correcting/compansating the protocol in a node which causes protocol error.
