Abstract: PURPOSE: A server/camera for image security system and a method thereof are provided to process effectively through an integrated procedure among a server and cameras by loading an event processing module for cameras which can be commonly applied to the cameras. CONSTITUTION: A server transmits a collection command to one or more cameras when detecting generation of an event. The server analyzes the options of the cameras, sets a functional setting value of each camera, and transmits a setting command. The server transmits an execution command to the cameras and processes and stores the image data received from the cameras. The server transmits an ending command to the cameras and finishes the event.
