    Abstract: PURPOSE: A satellite multimedia service system and a satellite multimedia service method are provided to offer multimedia data through a satellite without a system which assigns IP(Internet Protocol) addresses to subscribers. The satellite gateway(11) changes a destination address of the data packet to the private IP address of the subscriber terminal station(20) according to subscriber management information, transmits the data packet to the satellite(30), so that the subscriber terminal station(20) receives the data packet.
