    Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling an electronic turbocharger are provided to achieve improved engine performance, while reducing parts count and manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a compression turbine mounted in a housing which has an inlet port(51) formed at the front portion of the housing and an outlet port(52) connected to an intercooler(4) connected to a cylinder(3) through a pipe(2), wherein the compression turbine rotates in accordance with the frequency of rotation of a supercharger motor(7) and presses external air; a gear box(6) having an input gear(61) and an output gear(62) with different gear ratio, which reduces or amplifies the power generated from the supercharger motor and transmits the power to the compression turbine; the supercharger motor having a frequency of rotation determined in accordance with the signal output from a control unit; the control unit for determining the frequency of rotation of the charger motor so that an optimum engine performance is obtained, and outputting a driving signal to a motor control unit; and the motor control unit for supplying voltage corresponding to the signal output from the control unit, to the supercharger motor.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A battery over-discharge control system is provided to automatically charge the battery by starting an engine, when the batter voltage is lower than a predetermined level. CONSTITUTION: A battery over-discharge control system comprises a starter motor(11) for generating and transmitting a rotating power so as to rotate a crankshaft of an engine(10); an electric unit(12) for operating a lamp and other devices; a key switch(50) for starting a vehicle; a battery(30) for applying a power to the electric unit and the starter motor in accordance with the operation of the key switch; a generator(40) connected to the battery, and which is driven by the rotation of the engine so as to charge or discharge the battery of the engine; and a control unit(20) for judging whether the voltage output from the battery is lower than a predetermined level through a built-in program and data stored in a memory; and controlling the rotational frequency of the engine to reach a predetermined level or higher so as to charge power to the battery.
