The present disclosure provides articles that include polymer coatings on substrates primed with a primer coating containing silica nanoparticles, and methods of coating. The polymer coating is preferably a silicone-based polymeric material.

Compositions include a polymer and silica nanoparticles dispersed in an aqueous continuous liquid phase. The polymer is a water-soluble copolymer of acrylic acid and an acrylamide, or a salt of the same. Methods of making and using the compositions to coat a substrate are also disclosed.

A multifunctional optical film for enhancing light extraction includes a flexible substrate, a structured layer having nanoparticles of different sizes, and a backfill layer. The structured layer effectively uses microreplicated diffractive or scattering nanostructures located near enough to the light generation region to enable extraction of an evanescent wave from an organic light emitting diode (OLED) device. The backfill layer has a material having an index of refraction different from the index of refraction of the structured layer. The backfill layer also provides a planarizing layer over the structured layer in order to conform the light extraction film to a layer of an OLED display device. The film may have additional layers added to or incorporated within it to an emissive surface in order to effect additional functionalities beyond improvement of light extraction efficiency.

The present invention provides immunomodulatory compositions include an immune response modifier moiety coupled to a targeting moiety. In another aspect, the invention provides methods of providing targeted delivery of an IRM, generating a localized immune response, and treating a condition in a subject. Generally, the methods include administering to the subject an immunomodulatory composition that includes an immune response modifier moiety coupled to a targeting moiety that recognizes a delivery target.

An economic, optically transmissive, stain and ink repellent, durable low refractive index fluoropolymer composition for use in an antireflection film or coupled to an optical display. In one aspect of the invention, the composition is formed from the reaction product of a fluoropolymer and a fluoroalkyl containing multi-olefinic crosslinker. In another aspect of the invention, the composition further includes surface modified inorganic nanoparticles.

Perfluoropolyether benzotriazole compounds and compositions containing perfluoropolyether benzotriazole compounds are provided. The perfluoropolyether benzotriazole compounds can be attached to a substrate having a metal or metal oxide-containing surface to provide at least one of the following characteristics: anti-soiling, anti-staining, ease of cleaning, repellency, hydrophobicity, or oleophobicity.
