Abstract:
A process for the preparation of high purity propylene polymers carried out in the presence of a catalyst comprising the product obtained by reacting:- an organo-aluminium compound, with - a solid catalyst component comprising Mg, Ti and electron donor compound selected from specific diolesters, said process being carried out employing an organo-aluminum/propylene ratio equal to or lower than 1.75 mmole/kg.
Abstract:
A catalyst component comprising Ti, Mg, Al, Cl, and optionally ORI groups in which RI is a C1-C20 hydrocarbon group, optionally containing heteroatoms, up to an amount such as to give a molar ORI /Ti ratio lower than 0.5, characterized by the fact that substantially all the titanium atoms are in valence state of 4, that the porosity (PF), measured by the mercury method and due to pores with radius equal to or lower than 1μm, is at least 0.3 cm3/g, and by the fact that the Cl/Ti molar ratio is lower than 29. The said catalysts are characterized by high morphological stability under the low molecular weight ethylene polymerization conditions while at the same time maintaining characteristics of high activity.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a solid catalyst component for the homopolymerization or copolymerization of CH2═CHR olefins, wherein R is hydrogen or hydrocarbyl radical with 1-12 carbon atoms, including a step (a), at a temperature ranging from 0 to 150° C., of reacting a Mg based compound of formula (MgClmX2-m).nLB, wherein m ranges from 0 to 2, n ranges from 0 to 6, X is, independently R1, OR1, —OCOR1 or O—C(O)—OR1 group, wherein R1 is a C1-C20 hydrocarbon group and LB is a Lewis base with a liquid medium made from or containing a Ti compound, having a Ti—Cl bond, in an amount such that the Ti/Mg molar ratio is higher than 3 and a Bi compound dissolved or dispersed in the liquid medium, wherein the solid catalyst compound is made from or contains the Ti compound, the Bi compound and optionally an electron donor on a Mg chloride based support.
Abstract:
A multilayer film is characterized by having at least a skin layer comprising a propylene -- ethylene copolymers characterized by the following features: ethylene derived units content of between 1.0 wt% and 15.0% wt%; molecular weight distribution (MWD), expressed in terms of Mw/Mn, greater than 4.0; - the content of xylene soluble fraction (XS) and the ethylene derived units content (C2) fulfill the following relation: XS 0.435C2 where XS is the percentage by weight of the fraction soluble in xylene at 25°C and C2 is the percentage by weight of ethylene units in the said copolymers determined via NMR.
