Abstract:
The present invention is related to the use of specific derivatives of diphosphines as flame retardants in aromatic and heteroaromatic epoxy resins and to a method for reducing the flammability of organic material comprising aromatic and/or heteroaromatic epoxy resins in which the specific derivates of diphosphines are incorporated. More-over, the invention is related to an aromatic and/or heteroaromatic epoxy resin composition containing aromatic and heteroaromatic epoxy resin as such or in processed form and incorporated in the aromatic and/or heteroaromatic epoxy resin at least one of the derivatives of diphosphines in an amount of from 1 to 35% by weight, based on the weight of the aromatic and/or heteroaromatic epoxy resin.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a phosphorus containing alcohol, obtainable or obtained by a process comprising the reaction of at least one alcohol with a phosphorus containing compound of the general formula (I) as defined herein, as well as the process for preparing a phosphorus containing alcohol, comprising the reaction of at least one alcohol with a phosphorus containing compound of the general formula (I). Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of a phosphorus containing alcohol as disclosed herein as a flame retardant, to a process for the preparation of a polyurethane and the polyurethane as such.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a polycarbonate, containing at least one phosphoric group, to the use of the polycarbonate as a flameproofing agent, to a method for producing a polyurethane in which such a polycarbonate is used, and to a polyurethane which can be obtained by such a method.
