Abstract:
Catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins CH 2 =CHR in which R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbyl radical with 1-12 carbon atoms, comprising Mg, Ti, halogen and two electron donor compounds one of which selected those of formula (I) wherein: R 2 , equal to or different from each other, are hydrogen atoms or C 1 -C 20 hydrocarbon radicals optionally containing heteroatoms belonging to groups 13-17 of the periodic table of the elements or alkoxy groups of formula -OR 1 , two or more of the R 2 groups can be connected together to form a cycle; R 1 , equal to or different from each other, are C 1 -C 20 hydrocarbon radicals optionally containing heteroatoms belonging to groups 13-17 of the periodic table of the elements, with the proviso that at least one of R 2 is -OR 1 and the other being selected from succinates of formula (II): wherein the radicals R 1 and R II , equal to or different from each other, are a C 1 -C 20 linear or branched alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, arylalkyl or alkylaryl group, optionally containing heteroatoms; the radicals R III to R IV equal to or different from each other, are hydrogen or a C 1 - C 20 linear or branched alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, arylalkyl or alkylaryl group, optionally containing heteroatoms, and the radicals R III to R VI which are joined to the same carbon atom of the succinate chain can be linked together to form a cycle.
Abstract:
Propylene-ethylene copolymers are flexible and show a very good balance between softness and mechanical properties in their crude state are obtained by solution polymerization in the presence of Ziegler-Natta catalysts. The said copolymers comprise from 10 to 50%wt of ethylene and are characterized by: product of the comonomer reactivity ratio r1•r2 ≤1.5; absence of 2,1 propylene insertions and tensile strength at break higher than 4 Mpa.
Abstract:
Butene-1 (co)polymers characterized by the following properties: content of butene-1 units in the form of isotactic pentads (mmmm) from 25 to 55%; intrinsic viscosity [η] measured in tetraline at 135°C from 1 to 3dL/g; content of xylene insoluble fraction at 0°C from 3 to 60%; and a ratio ES2/ES1≥1, where ES1 is the boiling diethyl ether soluble fraction determined on the polymer as such and ES2 is the boiling diethyl ether soluble fraction determined after milling the polymer. The butene-1 (co)polymers show a good balance between processability and elastomeric behavior.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a catalyst component, comprising a Mg compound a Ti compound and an electron donor compound (ED) selected from alcohol, glycols, esters, ketones, amines, amides, nitriles, alkoxysilanes and aliphatic ethers as essential compounds, comprising two or more steps of reaction involving the use of at least one of said essential compounds as fresh reactant alone or in a mixture in which it constitutes the main component, said process being characterized by the fact that in the last of said one or more reaction steps the essential compound used as a fresh reactant is the ED compound.
