    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a sheet feeder reducing the manufacturing cost and improving feed/separation performance of a sheet. CONSTITUTION:A device comprises a lower case 7 capable of loading a plurality of sheets received, feed roller 12 for feeding the sheet loaded to be received to the lower case 7 and a contact roller 14a brought into contact with the sheet 5 on the downstream in a sheet feed direction from the feed roller 12 in order to bring the sheet into contact with the feed roller 12. Further, the device comprises a separation clearance part 7e corresponding to thickness of one or two sheets for separating one by one a plurality of the sheets loaded to be received to the lower case 7 and a guide rib formed with a sloped surface such as coming near a conveying surface of the sheet, in accordance with approaching the separation clearance part 7e, to guide a point end part of this sheet to the separation clearance part 7e.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunctions of an information processor while a recording part is functioning and also to prevent the transfer defects of a recording medium by stopping the function of a 1st input part which serves as a transfer path of the recording medium in a recording mode and using a 2nd input part prepared out of the transfer path for input of documents. CONSTITUTION:When 'document editing' is selected on a main menu by a cursor key, a document editing screen is shown on a display 2. Then a document is inputted by means of various keys of a keyboard 1. Then a print key prepared at a 1st input part 1A of the keyboard 1 is selected and a print mode screen is shown. The set and changeable items are shown on the print mode screen so that the set items are selected and the contents of these items are changed. Furthermore, a necessary function is assigned to a 2nd input part 1B prepared out of a recording paper transfer path when the print mode screen is shown. Thus the function of the part 1A is stopped and therefore no reaction is confirmed even if a key is pushed within a range of the part 1A. In such a constitution, no malfunction of an information processor occurs even if a wrong key is pushed when a recording medium is set.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To conserve a recording medium by recording the recording data corresponding to a plurality of pages on one recording surface of the recording medium in a contracted state. CONSTITUTION:At first, a manuscript size showing a recording size of a page unit specified by the form data of document data to be printed and a longitudinal and lateral system showing whether a document is vertical or lateral writing are confirmed. In 'manuscript size', 'vertical and lateral system' and a contraction printing menu 30, 'contraction ratio' and 'paper size' are set. Respective contracted pages are arranged on recording paper on the basis of 'manuscript size', 'vertical and lateral system', 'contraction ratio' and 'paper size' and this arrangement state is displayed on a layout display 31. By selecting printing execution in this state, the contraction printing of each page is executed according to the layout shown by the layout display 31 and a set contraction ratio.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure accurate recording sheet transport and thereby enable high quality recording by transporting the recording sheet to a recording position with the rotation of a transport belt through an upstream and a downstream area. CONSTITUTION:If recording of a single line is finished, a recording head 15 is raised and a carriage motor 18 is driven to rotate backward to return the recording head 15 to a home position. At the same time, a transport motor 8 is driven to rotate a drive belt 4 to transport a recording sheet 1 by a single line in an arrow(a) direction. In this case, the recording sheet 1 is given a transport power by a recording sheet 1 but the belt 4 travels at the same rotating speed at whichever position on the belt 4 as it is an endless belt. For this reason, the recording sheet 1 is transported at the same speed at both an upstream and a downstream area of a recording position. Thus the transport accuracy of the recording sheet 1 is increased without feed pitch irregularities and a flawless high-quality image is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable an easy and accurate positioning of an ink ribbon cassette relative to a carriage by providing a loading part capable of detachable loading of the cassette, and a mounting means for positioning and mounting the cassette into the loading part. CONSTITUTION:A ribbon cassette 1 is seated on an upper surface of a carriage, with rear side parts of left and right openings 8, 9 thereof being in contact with stepped parts of a guide pin 18 and a positioning protrusion 21 under a pressing force exerted by a spring 24. The cassette 1 is pressed downward to the front side by a contact force between a lower slant part 26 of the spring 24 and an upper slant surface of an angular protrusion 12. The position of the cassette in the left-right direction is determined by the positioning protrusion 21. Thus, the ribbon cassette is mounted in the state of being positioned accurately in all of left right, front-back and vertical directions. The ribbon cassette can be detached easily, in a procedure reverse to that for mounting.
