Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink for ink-recording that can correspond to increased recording speed and minimization of jetted drips and is produced by dispersing water-insoluble color pigments into water by using a resin dispersant, to provide an ink jet-recording method that can give images of high quality at a high speed, to provide an ink cartridge, a recording unit and an ink jet recorder that is applicable to this ink jet-recording method. SOLUTION: The ink for this ink jet-recording method contains water, water- insoluble pigments, a resin dispersant for dispersing the insoluble pigments in an aqueous medium, glycerol, ethyleneurea and a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether of >=13 HLB. The ink jet recording method has a step that the ink is injected by use of the ink-injection head.
