Abstract:
A stable aqueous antiplaque oral composition containing (a) an antibacterial ester compound having the formula (I) where R1 is an alkyl chain of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and R2 is an alkyl chain of 6 to 30 carbon atoms and X is an anion.(b) a stabilizing surfactant; and (c) a humectant. Methods of making the oral composition are also provided.
Abstract:
An oral care composition containing a synergistic antiplaque/antigingivitis combination of a nonionic halogenated diphenyl ether compound such as Triclosan and an extract of Magnolia Officinalas containing honokiol and magnolol.

Abstract:
An orally consumable film composition for delivering antiplaque and breath freshening benefits to the oral cavity which is rapidly dissolvable or dispersible in the oral cavity, the composition being comprised of a homogeneous mixture of a water soluble or dispersible film forming polymer and an antibacterial ester having the formula (I), where R1 is an alkyl chain of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and R2 is an alkyl chain of 6 to 30 carbon atoms and X is an anion.
Abstract:
An antibacterial, anti-inflammatory compound for use in oral products, of formulae (I), wherein: R1 and R2 are straight chain or branched alkyl substituents or cycloalkyls with one or more alkyl substituents.
Abstract:
A dual component dentifrice composition in which the first component is a stable, semi-solid, extrudable dentifrice composition containing a fluoride ion releasable compound in which calcium ion is absent and the second component is a semi-solid, extrudable dentifrice composition containing a dicalcium phosphate abrasive having a magnesium ion content less than about 0.5 % by weight wherein increased fluoride uptake is achieved when the components are mixed upon application to dental tissue.
Abstract:
A multicomponent anticaries dentifrice composition and method of use therefore, having a first dentifrice component containing a fluoride ion source and a second dentifrice component containing a casein glycomacropeptide compound, wherein the components are physically separated before use and are combined immediately prior to application to the teeth, the dentifrice exhibiting enhanced enamel remineralization.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed for fluoridating teeth using a two-component dentifrice system in which the first component is stable, semi-solid, extrudable dentifrice composition containing a fluoride ion releasable hydrolyzable complex fluoride compound such as sodium fluorosilicate, in an aqueous vehicle in which xanthan gum is the major thickening agent and glycerin, sorbitol or mixtures thereof are the humectant, and the second component is a semi-solid, extrudable dentifrice composition containing a calcium ion releasable compound and an abrasive in an aqueous vehicle containing xanthan gum as the major thickener and glycerin, sorbitol or mixtures thereof as the humectant. The first and the second dentifrice compounds are maintained separate from the other until mixed for application to teeth.
