    Abstract: A fitting assembly (10) that can attach to an open end (12) of a pipe (14) has a nipple (18) and a clamp (20). For attachment, the pipe (14) is fitted with its open end over the nipple (18) and the clamp (20) fits over the pipe (14) where the pipe fits over the nipple (18). The nipple (18) has a seal (32) and a barb means (34) that is located rear to the seal (32) that contact an inner face of the pipe and the clamp (20) having an axial extension that is sized to overlie the barb means (34) and the seal (32) in order to press the pipe (14) against the barb means (34) and the seal (32).

    Abstract: An irrigation pipe with holes is provided. The pipe is, at least in the area of each hole, multilayered. At least top and bottom layers of the pipe are made of a water-repellant material, and an inner layer of the pipe is made of a porous material. The hole is defined by a cut surface of the pipe wall.
