Abstract:
A communication apparatus and a method for simply allowing two communication systems, which use the same communication medium but are different in communication format from each other, to be coexistent. There is used an access coexistence signal for notifying premises communication systems (110,130) of the existence of an access communication system (120). There is also used a premises coexistence signal for sharing a resource of frequency or time between the premises communication systems (110,130). Moreover, these two coexistence signals are asynchronously transmitted, thereby eliminating the necessity of synchronizing process between the access communication system (120) and each of the premises communication systems (110,130).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power line communication device that is able to perform low-speed PLC communication considering the HAM band.SOLUTION: A power line communication device comprises: a storage unit 40 for storing channel spacing information indicating a frequency interval ▵f between adjacent channels among a plurality of channels, and offset information indicating an offset value foff, which is the difference between a frequency at which any channel of the plurality of channels is placed and a baseband frequency; a frequency conversion unit 20 for setting frequencies at which the plurality of channels are placed on the basis of the channel spacing information and the offset information; and a communication unit 30 for selecting a prescribed channel from the plurality of channels to which the frequencies are set and for performing communication via a power line PL by use of the selected prescribed channel. Here, the frequency interval ▵f is any value of 864 kHz≤▵f≤1728 kHz, and the offset value is any value of 14 kHz

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an individual house voltage changing device and an individual house power using system, capable of stabilizing communication between electronic devices via a power supply line. SOLUTION: The system has: an AC-DC conversion means 3; an individual house voltage changing device 9 connected to the AC-DC conversion means 3; a plurality of outlets 13-16 connected to output terminals 9c-9f of the individual house voltage changing device 9, respectively; and electronic devices (17-21) connected to the outlets 13-16, respectively. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain communicating equipment which performs transmitting-path estimation in relation to a transmitting-path variation of a power line etc., with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The communicating equipment has an A-D converter for converting a received analog signal into a received digital signal, a wavelet transformer for so wavelet-transforming the received signal as to be able to deal with its phase relation, a carrier detector for detecting the existence of the received signal, a synchronizing circuit for extracting synchronizing timing from the received signal, an equalizer for so correcting the received signal as to cancel the effect of a transmitting path, a transmitting-path estimator for estimating the state of a power-line transmitting path, and a determination device for determining the received signal corrected by the equalizer by using a threshold. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method capable of efficiently transmitting data by preventing collision of signals while meeting the restriction of delay corresponding to the data to be transmitted by a plurality of kinds of communication apparatuses having different communication system. SOLUTION: The communication method is such that when notice signals ϕA, ϕB, ϕC corresponding to communication systems A, B, C and a notice signal (not shown) corresponding to a communication system D are transmitted during a control signal section C of an allocated communication cycle H, the data slots of a control cycle T configuring a communication cycle H2 are periodically assigned to the communication systems A, B, C in advance.
