Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk in which three-dimensional videos and high-quality video images are recorded and a system for reproducing them, which achieves compatibility with the conventional system for reproducing ordinary videos. SOLUTION: Interleave blocks are obtained by dividing first and second video signals into frame groups of one GOP or more and alternately recording the video signals on the right and left sides on an optical disk 1. In a three-dimensional/high-quality image compatible reproducing device, either stereoscopic videos or high-quality videos are obtained by reproducing both of the first and second interleave blocks. In a three-dimensional/high-quality image non-compatible reproducing device, ordinary videos are obtained by reproducing only one of the first and second interleave blocks by performing track jump. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication technology between a video display device and eyeglasses for viewing video, the technology being for applying a video system to various applications.SOLUTION: The video system includes the video display device and the video viewing eyeglasses used for viewing video. The video display device includes: a display portion for displaying the video in time series; a synchronization signal generation portion for generating synchronization signals; and a synchronization signal transmission portion for transmitting the synchronization signals. The video viewing eyeglasses include: an optical filter portion for adjusting the amount of light transmitted to the eyes of a viewer; a synchronization signal reception portion for receiving the synchronization signals; a synchronization signal analysis portion for performing the operation of detecting bit string, analyzing a pattern of the bit string, and generating control data for controlling the operation of the optical filter portion; and an optical filter control portion for controlling the optical filter portion using the control data.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain compatibility for a conventional system for reproducing normal images in an optical disk, in which three-dimensional images and high-quality video signals are recorded, with a system for reproducing the optical disk.SOLUTION: A three-dimensional/high-quality correspondence type reproducing apparatus reproduces both a first and second interleave blocks, obtained by respectively dividing a first video signal and a second video signal into frame groups of 1 GOP and more, and alternately recording respective frame groups on right and left sides of an optical disk 1 to obtain a three-dimensional image or a high quality image. A three-dimensional/high-quality non-correspondence type reproducing apparatus reproduces only either the first or second interleave blocks by track jump to obtain a normal image. The three-dimensional/high-quality correspondence type reproducing apparatus synchronously outputs an image signal for a right eye, an image signal for a left eye and a sound signal.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve compatibility with a conventional system for reproducing normal images in an optical disk in which three-dimensional images and high quality video signals are recorded and a system for reproducing the images and the video signals from the optical disk. SOLUTION: A stereoscopic/high quality correspondence type reproducing device obtains three-dimensional images or high quality images by reproducing both of first and second interleaved blocks which are obtained by respectively dividing first and second video signals into frame groups of one GOP or more and alternately recording the divided frame groups on the right and left sides of the optical disk 1. In a stereoscopic/high quality non-correspondence type reproducing device, only either one of the first and second interleaved blocks is track-jumped and reproduced to obtain normal images. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve compatibility with a conventional system that reproduces normal images in an optical disk, in which stereoscopic images and high-definition image signals are recorded and reproduction system thereof. SOLUTION: An interleave block is obtained, by dividing first image signals and second image signals into frame groups of one GOP or more which are to be recorded alternately in an optical disk 1. In a stereoscopic high-definition reproducing device, stereoscopic images or high-definition images are obtained by reproducing both the first and second interleave blocks. In a non-stereoscopic-high-definition reproducing device, either the first or second interleave blocks only are track-jumped and is reproduced, and normal images are obtained. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program reception apparatus capable of starting execution even when only a part of a necessary program is received. SOLUTION: When one program is divided into a plurality of partial programs and transmitted from the program transmitter, and if the necessary partial program is received, the partial program is executed. When it is detected that the execution must be continued from one partial program to another partial program, the other partial program is executed, if the other partial program is received. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk that records a three-dimensional video and a high quality video signal, and a system for reproducing the optical disk, which are compatible with a conventional system for reproducing an ordinary video. SOLUTION: A first video signal and a second video signal are individually divided into groups of frames each having 1 GOP or more, and resultant groups of frames of the first video signal and resultant groups of frames of the second video signal are recorded on the right and the left alternately on the optical disk 1 to provide interleave blocks. A three-dimensional and high-quality-adaptive reproducer reproduces both of a first and a second interleave block to provide a three-dimensional video or a high quality video. A three-dimensional and high-quality-non-adaptive reproducer reproduces singly one of the first and the second interleave block through track jump to provide the ordinary video.
