Con este dispositivo de filtrado espectral, una unidad de división de sub-bandas (102) divide un espectro de entrada en varias sub-bandas; una unidad de cálculo de valores representativos (103) calcula un valor representativo para cada sub-banda usando una media aritmética y una media geométrica; con respecto a cada valor representativo, una unidad de conversión no lineal (104) lleva a cabo una conversión no lineal cuya característica se enfatiza más al incrementarse el valor; y una unidad de filtrado (105) que filtra el valor representativo que ha sido sometido a la conversión no lineal para cada sub-banda, en el dominio de frecuencias.

Abstract: Provided is an audio encoding device capable of preventing audio quality degradation of a decoded signal. In the audio encoding device, a noise analysis unit (118) analyzes a noise characteristic of a higher range of an input spectrum. A filtering unit (113) includes a multi-tap pitch filter for filtering a first-layer decoded spectrum according to a filter state set by a filter state setting unit (112), a pitch coefficient outputted from a pitch coefficient setting unit (115), and a filter coefficient outputted from the filter coefficient decision unit (119), and calculates an estimated spectrum of the input spectrum. An optimal pitch coefficient can be decided by the process of a closed loop formed by the filter unit (113), a search unit (114), and the pitch coefficient setting unit (115).

By using the synthesized monaural signal M′ and the second channel signal CH2, the first channel signal encoder subjects the first channel signal CH1 to CELP encoding to minimize the sum of the encoding distortion of the first channel signal CH1 and the encoding distortion of the second channel signal CH2.

Abstract: Disclosed are an encoding device and others capable of reducing the encoded information amount, the audio signal encoding error, and the decoded signal audio quality degradation. The device includes: a frequency region conversion unit (101) which converts an inputted audio signal into a frequency region; a band selection unit (102) which selects a quantization object band from a plurality of sub bands obtained by dividing the frequency region; and a shape quantization unit (103) which quantizes the shape of the frequency region parameter of the quantization object band. When a prediction encoding presence/absence judgment unit (104) judges that the number of common sub bands between the quantization object band and the quantization object band selected in the past is not smaller than a predetermined value, a gain quantization unit (105) performs prediction encoding on the gain of the frequency region parameter of the quantization object band. When the number of the common sub bands is smaller than the predetermined value, the gain quantization unit (105) directly quantizes the gain of the frequency region parameter of the quantization object band.

Abstract: In this invention, the design of the Huffman table can be done offline with a large input sequence database. The range of the quantization indices (or differential indices) for Huffman coding is identified. For each value of range, all the input signal which have the same range will be gathered and the probability distribution of each value of the quantization indices (or differential indices) within the range is calculated. For each value of range, one Huffman table is designed according to the probability. And in order to improve the bits efficiency of the Huffman coding, apparatus and methods to reduce the range of the quantization indices (or differential indices) are also introduced.

A synchronization information generating section (106) generates synchronization information according to the encoding code (I') after the bit embedding and outputs the synchronization information to the encoding section (102). The encoding section (102) updates the internal state and the like on the basis of the synchronization information and encodes the next digital sound signal (X).
