    Abstract: A relay node at a base station may configure a first radio channel with a first priority and a first priority ID, and configure a second radio channel with a second priority and a second priority ID. The base station may configure a third radio channel with a first bearer ID and a first mapping to the first priority, and configure a fourth radio channel with a second bearer ID and a second mapping to the second priority. The relay node may forward packets from the third radio channel to the first radio channel based on the first mapping and insert the first priority ID into a header in the packets.     Abstract: A network architecture is disclosed with support for location services (LCS). A radio access network (RAN) node receives a registration request from a user equipment (UE), indicating that the UE supports a ranging based location service session. The RAN node further receives an internal identifier (ID) for identifying information associated with the UE in communication between the RAN node and a core network during the ranging based location service session. The RAN node allocates radio resources to the UE for performing a ranging operation involving a plurality of devices including the UE, and associates the radio resources with the internal ID of the UE for identifying location results. Then the RAN node informs the UE of the radio resources allocated for the ranging operation.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless systems, a base station centralized unit (CU) may communicate with a user equipment (UE) through a multi-hop backhaul architecture. This multi-hop backhaul connection may include a donor base station and any number of relay base stations connected via backhaul links. In some cases, the relay base stations or the UE may experience data congestion in a logical channel-specific buffer. The relay base stations or UE may implement backpressure signaling (e.g., in the medium access control (MAC) layer) to mitigate the congestion. A wireless device operating as a mobile termination (MT) endpoint may transmit a backpressure report message to a wireless device operating as a base station distributed unit (DU) endpoint for the logical channel. The base station DU may adjust a scheduling rate for data unit transmissions over the indicated logical channel based on the backpressure report.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for device-to-device (D2D) wireless communication are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method includes receiving a timing variable and a timing offset allowance from a network at a device, the timing variable being received while the device is in a connected mode. The device may then use the timing variable and the timing offset for D2D discovery message authentication by comparing the timing variable with a local timing variable to determine whether a difference between the two variables is within the timing offset allowance. Embodiments of the disclosure may enhance the security of devices participating in D2D discovery communications.
