    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a scheduled entity that obtains a resource allocation for transmission of an acknowledgment (ACK)/negative acknowledgment (NACK) payload using implicit resource mapping based on at least one of a scrambling identifier or one of a plurality of control resource sets (CORESETs) and transmits the ACK/NACK payload based on the obtained resource allocation. In an aspect, a scheduled entity obtains a resource allocation for transmitting different types of uplink control information (UCI), wherein the resource allocation is based on a combination of the different types of UCI and transmits the different types of UCI based on the obtained resource allocation. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for uplink reference signal sequence design in wireless communications systems. A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. In an aspect, the method includes identifying a set of sequences to include at least a base sequence, a reverse order sequence of the base sequence, a complex conjugate sequence of the base sequence, or a reverse order complex conjugate sequence of the base sequence, and transmitting an uplink reference signal based on at least one of the sequences in the set. The techniques described herein may apply to different communications technologies, including 5th Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) communications technology.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support frequency and time domain multiplexing for low peak-to-average waveforms with multiple streams. A user equipment (UE) may identify sets of symbols associated with different streams (e.g., multiple single-carrier discrete Fourier transform (DFT)-spread waveforms), where each stream may be associated with a low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). In some cases, different waveforms may be mapped to subsets of frequency resources through frequency division multiplexing (FDM). The UE may further reduce the PAPR of the multiplexed waveforms by performing time division multiplexing (TDM) across the single-carrier streams, and sets of symbols that are not used by one waveform may be used by another waveform. Frequency domain phase ramps may be applied to align the multiplexed waveforms. Signals included in an uplink transmission according to these techniques may maintain properties similar to single-carrier waveforms, including a low PAPR.

The apparatus may receive an uplink control configuration indication in a downlink control portion of a first slot. The first slot may include the downlink control portion, a second portion, and an uplink short burst portion. The apparatus may configure a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), on at least one of the second portion or the uplink short burst portion of the first slot, for transmission of first uplink control information (UCI) based at least in part on the uplink control configuration indication. The first UCI may correspond to second UCI to be transmitted in the first slot or a second slot. The apparatus may transmit the first UCI on the configured UCI.
