    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the rise characteristics of a driving circuit of an electrooptic shutter, by turning on the driving circuit by turning off a control transistor. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 11L at the one side of an electrooptic elemnt is connected to a power supply, and the electrode of the other side is connected to the emitter of transistors TR3 and TR2. The electrooptic shutter is turned on by turning on the TR1 and TR2 and turning off the TR3 respectively. While the shutter is turned off by turning off the TR1 and turning on the TR2 and TR3. Thus the electrooptic element is turned on by using the short turn-off time of the TRs since the electrooptic element itself or the TR has a time constant. As a result, the rise is accelerated for a driving circuit of an electrooptic shutter to increase the adaptability to a color video device which is scanned at a high speed.

Thus, the observer 6 can observe a color picture SC on a prescribed position l with high resolution.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain information about an objective to be photographed with high accuracy, by moving the information between unit elements of a solid-state image pickup element to the location of the unit element through the use of an electrooptic element. CONSTITUTION:An objective 1 is formed on a CCD5 through an electrooptic element 4 made of LiNbO3 and lenses 2 and 3. In scanning the image forming plane by one field, (1, 1) on X and Y axes is taken as the start point for the scanning, in synchronizing with signals phiH and phiV from a synchronizing panel 9 without applying a voltage to the element 4 at first. A voltage VH is applied to the element 4 at the 1/4 period, the optical axis is deflected horizontally and the optical information of the objective 1 is moved to the position (2, 1). Similarly, at the 2/4 period, voltages VH, VV are applied to the element 4, the image is moved to the position (2, 2), at the 3/4 period, the voltages VH, VV are applied to the element 4, the image is moved to the position (1, 2) and the operation is completed at the final period of obtain double resolution of the CCD5 both longitudinally and laterally.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the disturbance of the signal magnetic domain for the magnetic regenerated signal using the photomagnetic effect by recording the signals after applying the specific DC magnetic field vertically to the magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic tape 1 receives the vertical DC magnetic field of more than the anti-magnetism force Hc of the magnetic powder of the tape itself. Soft magnetic film surface vertical easy-to-magnetize film device 2 is installed at the position touching tape 1 running in the direction of the arrow markings. Thus the light generated from light source generator 3 is condensed on the magnetized film of device 2 via polarizer 4, beam splitter 5 and object lens 6 each and then reflected by the reflecting film to be supplied to light detector 7 via lens 6 and splitter 5. During this, the light receives the right or left Faraday optical rotation in accordance to the magnetizing direction of the domain of the magnetized film. As a result, the light modulated signal received the width modulation according to the domain width is supplied to photoelectric converter 8, and the electric signal obtained at the output terminal 9 of element 8 is regenerated through the FM regenerator.

In this case, the V start pulses are thinned out every other time by the start select gates 72 and 82 and are outputted once for each frame.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To make rear projection and front projection possible simply by using a liquid crystal plate that can be switched to the state of diffusion and transparency by application of voltage as a screen. CONSTITUTION:When making rear projection, an upper cover 11b is made to the state of half-open, and a liquid crystal screen 17 is supported by a screen supporting arm 16 positioned in the upper part of the upper cover 11b, and at the same time, the second reflecting mirror 15 is positioned to make projected light from a projector lens 13 reach a liquid crystal screen 17. Then, specified voltage is applied to the screen 17 to make the liquid screen 17 the state of diffusion. Thus, by making the screen the state of diffusion, the surface of the liquid crystal screen 17 becomes an image plane of the projection device. It is also possible to make enlarged projection on a reflecting screen provided separately without applying voltage to the liquid crystal screen and making the liquid crystal screen 17 transparent state.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate influences of a stray capacity in an optical shutter array by arranging reference potential electrodes and electrodes, to which a prescribed voltage is applied, alternately in each row. CONSTITUTION:Hot-side electrodes 20 and earth electrodes 21 are formed alternately in two rows on one side face of a plate-shaped PLZT element 1 so that these electrodes in individual rows face each other with a length (w) between them, and a connection land 20a is formed in the electrode 20 as one body. One ends of electrodes 21 in one row are connected to a common earth electrode 22, and one ends of electrodes 21 in the other row are connected to a common earth electrode 23. By this constitution, an optical shutter 5 is formed between electrodes 20 and 21. In this case, electrodes 20 are surrounded with electrodes 21-24 having the earth potential and is shielded, and influences of the stray capacity are eliminated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a stereoscopic picture of high quality with a simple constitution, by using a projector to switch the polarizing angle between the left and right eye stereoscopic parallax video signals. CONSTITUTION:A CRT image which is projected with magnification on a screen 9 receives polarization of -45 deg., for example, which is decided by a polarizing plate 6 in an even field and then polarization of 45 deg. obtained by turning 90 deg. from above-mentioned -45 deg. by a voltage control polarizing surface turning device 7 in an odd field respectively. Thus only the right eye is visible in an even field and then only the left eye is visible in an odd field when a person 25 looks at the screen 9. Then a stereoscopic image is obtained on the screen 9 if the odd and even fields of a TV signal supplied to a TV signal input terminal 1 are defined as the left and right eye stereoscopic parallax video signals respectively.
