Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the frictional force generated between fixed guide pins and a tape by providing the fixed guide pins at the position such as the winding angle of the tape at the time of tape running does not exceed 40 deg.. SOLUTION: By taking the maximum winding diameter 3A of the tape with diameter of nearly 53mm as reference, a common outer tangent line (a) in contact with this maximum winding diameter 3A of tape and circumferential surfaces (tape guide surfaces) of rotary guide rollers 7, 8 from the outside is virtually drawn, and the fixed guide pins 9, 10 are provided at the inner side of the cassette than the common outer tangent line (a) and also at the position in contact with this tangent line (a). By providing the fixed guide pins 9, 10 at this position, the winding angle of the tape 3 against the fixed guide pins 9, 10 at the time of tape running is made smaller than in the conventional practice.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent trouble from occurring in the post process of a block positioning process. CONSTITUTION:A protruding part 49 with a block height direction position- determining surface 49a is provided in a lower cassette half 31 and recessed parts 60 and 61 having positioning surfaces 60a and 61a in contact with the block height direction positioning surface 49 a of the protruding part 49 are provided at the upper and lower edges of a guide block 44, where the depth dimension of the rib side recessed part 60 is set to a larger dimension than that of a counter rib side recessed part 61. Therefore, when a guide block 55 is positioned in the lower cassette half 31 up side down in the block height direction, a void is formed between the guide block 55 and the cassette half 31, thus visually detecting the erroneous fitting of the guide block 55 for the lower cassette half 31.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve tone quality on a tape cassette by preventing the play and vibration of a shield plate. CONSTITUTION:A pair of calking pins 37a, 37b are projectingly arranged on a shield plate holding part 31a of a guide block 31 forming a tape running part of the tape cassette. The shield plate 41 is fitted to this shield plate holding part 31a by joining a viscoelastic sheet 51 to the back face side of the flat surface part 41c, and also the calking pins 37a, 37b are inserted through the shield plate 41 from the viscoelastic sheet 51 to melt and calk the head parts 37a1, 37b1. By this procedure, the shield plate 41 is fixed to the guide block 31 by interposing the viscoelastic sheet 51.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable voluntarily forming regions having different glossinesses (dull surface, glossy surface) on a transfer surface when a transfer is executed on a surface of a tape cassette by a thermal transfer film. CONSTITUTION:A matting agent 6 with a rough surface is previously applied at a prescribed part (part except the part corresponding to a window section of the tape cassette) on a flat base film 2 facing an ink layer 4 and the base film 2 in the thermal transfer film 1. In such a manner, when the base film 2 is stripped after finishing transfer, the transfer surface (a) corresponding to the matting agent 6 is a rough surface and has an appearance with dull tone and the residual part (b) is a flat glossy surface. For instance, the window section in the tape cassette is made to a flat glossy surface having good visibility and the part except the window section is made to a dull surface so that disorder in an appearance at the time of forming the cassette is inconspicuous.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily manage the inventory of transfer films or issuance of orders by indicating the recording time through direct printing and the other information through indirect printing using the transfer film. CONSTITUTION:A display 3 of the recording time is printed directly on the surface of a cassette case 2 of a recording cassette 1, and a display 4 of the recording time unit, a display 5 of the surface material, etc., are printed indirectly with tone use of a transfer film. Accordingly, it is not necessary to manufacture transfer films for every recording time, so that the inventory or issuance of orders of the transfer film can be made easily. Moreover, since the display of data other than the recording time is preliminarily printed indirectly to the cassette case and the recording time can be displayed by the direct printing upon necessities, it becomes easy to manage the cassette case.
