PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass lubricant for making tubes by hot extrusion, which improves the stripping resistance of glass, reduces the rough surface of hot extruded tube by pickling and the pickling cost, and also suppresses defects such as forced marks and seizure. SOLUTION: The glass lubricant for making tubes by hot extrusion of the metallic material is composed of a silicate glass lubricant which is an alkali metal oxide of 12-30 mass% in total quantity and the total quantity of one or more kinds of Al 2 O 3 , CaO and MgO is 20-40 mass%. However, K 2 O is defined as ≥1/3 of the total quantity of the alkali metal oxide, and Al 2 O 3 is defined as not ≥1/4 of the total quantity of one or more kinds of Al 2 O 3 , CaO and MgO. In this glass lubricant for making tubes by hot extrusion, it is desired to be composed of the silicate glass lubricant including B 2 O 3 of ≤25 mass% and it is suitable to use as the external lubricant of the metallic material which is worked by the hot extrusion. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a stainless steel tube by which abnormal oxidized scale which is generated on the inside of the steel tube is suppressed and also the scale is efficiently removed by rapid cooling after heat treatment. SOLUTION: This method is a manufacturing method of the stainless steel tube in which the heat treatment is applied to the stainless steel tube which is manufactured by mandrel mill rolling and stretch reducer rolling and the scale generated on the surface is removed by pickling treatment. In this manufacturing method of the stainless steel tube, when expressing by a relational diagram taking the C equivalent weight (g/m 2 ) in the mandrel mill rolling as the X-axis and the heating temperature (°C) of the stainless steel tube rolled by using the mandrel bar as the Y-axis, at the heat treatment of the stainless steel tube, after heating the stainless steel tube under the conditions within the range in which respective points of A, B, C, D, E and F in the relational diagram are connected with straight lines, the stainless steel tube is rapidly cooled. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of 13 Cr base stainless steel tube covered with mill scale excellent in surface property and corrosion resis tance by controlling scale in descaling and rolling. SOLUTION: About a hollow tube stock of stainless steel containing 11-15wt.% Cr, the outer layer scale of scale consisting of an outer layer and inner layer is removed with a descaler. The thickness of 0.1-50μm in the inner layer scale consisting essentially of a spinel type oxide FeCr2 O4 is left and elongating is executed at a draft of >=40% or, about a tube stock for finish rolling, 0.1-50μm of the inner layer scale containing the spinel type oxide as a main component and Fe2 SiO4 as an assistant composition is left and finish rolling is executed.
