Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a laminated tape usable as e.g. an adhesive label to mainly clothing etc., and to provide a simple production method for the tape. CONSTITUTION:The objective laminated tape is made up of two kinds of tapes A and B differing in melting point from each other, and both the tapes A and B are mutually fused only at both ends in the width direction of said tape. To produce the laminated tape, a fusing cut slitter composed mainly of an unwinding section, fusing cutting section, and winding section is used, and two kinds of sheets A and B differing in melting point from each other are simultaneously unwound and superposedly subjected to fusing cutting to obtain a tape with the sheets A and B fused only at the end in the width direction of the tape. In this case, it is characterized in that an edge for fusing cutting is made to come into contact with either of the sheets A and B higher in melting point to conduct cutting. With this method, the objective laminated tape can be obtained easily. This tape, which can also be used as a label, is also excellent durability such as resistance to washing.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a fabric, on which a picture is formed and which is capable of being employed for a label and the like bonded to clothes and the like and prominent in resistance to washing and the like., simply. CONSTITUTION:A dye-absorbing sheet is provided with an adhesive layer or a temporary bonding layer on at least one side of a sheet-type material having dye absorbing property. A picture, such as a letter a picture, a discriminating mark and the like, is formed on a fabric temporarily by ink consisting of principal constituent of dye, then, the surface of the dye-absorbing sheet, which is provided with said adhesive layer or temporary bonding layer, is superposed on the picture forming surface of the fabric so that at least the whole of a picture forming part is covered and, thereafter, heating treatment is applied under the condition whereby the dye, forming the temporarily formed picture, is impregnated and diffused into filaments constituting the fabric to dye it and excessive dye is removed simultaneously. According to this method, a picture, produced by dying and prominent in fastness, such as resistance to friction, sublimation, washing and the like, can be formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an insulation material, having a sufficient strength and capable of imparting comfortableness such as moisture conditioning effects together with heat insulating effects. CONSTITUTION:The insulation material is composed of at least a body-forming part 1 and a mixture of a water absorbing and releasing polymeric gel 2 having a dissociable group hardly taking in polyvalent metallic ions with a porous adsorbent 3 and holes 4 and is prepared by producing the holes by the shrinkage of the water absorbing and releasing polymeric gel. The method for producing this insulation material is to mix a mixture of the water absorbing and releasing polymeric gel with the porous adsorbent with the body-forming material, then mix the obtained mixture with water, converting the mixture into a slurry form, subsequently form the resultant slurry and harden the formed material. Thereby, heat insulating effects are obtained by the holes formed by swelling and shrinking of the moisture absorbing and releasing high molecular gel and rapid and stable moisture conditioning effects are obtained by synergistic effects of the moisture absorbing and releasing effects of the polymeric gel with the porous adsorbent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a stereo-circular arc forming laminated body which can be made bulky in a circular arc shape on the spot without using a foaming gas and provide a stable stereo-structure with a strong strength and can be made into a multi-layered structure. CONSTITUTION:In a laminated body wherein a plurality of low heat-shrinkable sheets 1 and highly heat-shrinkable sheets 2 are arranged in such a way that there exists difference in shrinkage between both sheets in the vertical direction and they are arranged in a specified interval and they are alternatively laminated through a substantially stripe-like partially adhering layer, there exist at least five layers together of the low heat-shrinkable sheets 1 and the high heat- shrinkable sheets 2 and the partially adhering layer are arranged in the low heat-shrinkable sheets 1 in such a way that the partially adhering layers are alternatively on the surface and rear face and the interval becomes successively wider and narrower. It is possible thereby to make it bulky into a circular arc-shape by heating by utilizing the difference in heat shrinkage and a stereo- circular arc forming laminated body with stable structure and strength after bulky treatment and keeping stability after making a multi-layered structure, can be obtd.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a new optical element by composing the optical element of a stimulation transmitting mechanism which stimulates polymer gel, fixing at least part of the polymer gel, and utilizing the flexibility of the polymer gel. CONSTITUTION:The red-shaped polymer gel 3 where an optical path 2 is united is fixed by support bases 4 in an optical cell 1 whose front surface is transparent, two electrodes 5 and 5' are arranged in the parallel direction of the polymer gel 3, and the cell 1 is filled with an electrolytic solution 6. The electrodes 5 and 5' are connected through DC power sources 7 and 7' and switches 8 and 8'. The switches 8 and 8' are both OFF, so the polymer gel 3 is straight and the light of a light source 9 behind the optical path is observed on the front surface of the optical cell. Then when the switch 8 is turned ON, the polymer gel deflects toward a negative polarity and the light of the light source 9 is not observed. Further, the switch 8 is turned OFF and the switch 8' is turned ON, so that the light of the light source 9 is observed. The two states reversibly change and the function of an optical element is obtained by this principle.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To modify the surface of a fluorinated polymer film so as to provide a film, excellent in adhesion and useful as a corrosion-resistant material, etc., by treating the fluorinated film under specific conditions such as discharge. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a fluorinated polymer film such as polytetafluoroethylene is modified by discharge obtained by applying a high voltage across an electrode for applying the high voltage and a counter electrode for supporting a material to be treated. In the process, the film is treated in a gas atmosphere containing >=70mol% one or more rare gases selected from He, Ne, Ar, Kr and Xe, 0.02-10mol% CO2 and one or more of hydrocarbons such as ethane expressed by the formula CnH2n+2 (n is 1-4) in a molar amount of at least >=2 times based on the CO2 under 100-1000Torr, preferably 600-900Torr pressure.
