Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composition providing a film having a surface hardly injured, showing excellent scratching resistance and wear resistance by blending an aromatic polyester with a fluorine compound and inert particles having specific particle diameters, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The composition comprises (A) 0.01-2 pts.wt. of fluorine compound (preferably calcium fluoride) having 0.002-0.2mum average diameter of primary particles, (B) 0.01-5 pts.wt. of inert particles having 0.2-1mum average diameter of primary particles and (C) 99.98-93 pts.wt. of an aromatic polyester (preferably polyethylene terephthalate). The component B is preferably titanium oxide in the case of inorganic particles and preferably a divinylbenzene homopolymer in the case of organic particles. The component A and the inert inorganic particles are added to the polyester reaction system by a method of supplying them in a state of a glycol slurry and the inert organic particles are incorporated with the polyester in a shape of a slurry using water, etc.

CONSTITUTION:This resin composition is prepared by mixing a thermoplastic polyester (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate) with 0.05-10wt.% vateritic calcium carbonate surfacetreated with a polycarboxylic acid compound (e.g. sodium polyacrylate) and having a mean particle diameter of 0.01-5mum and 40-250ppm of phosphorus (for example, one added in the form of trimethyl phosphate) and has a terminal carboxyl concentration in the range of 10-100 equivalents per 10 g of the polymer.
