Abstract: A wind turbine nacelle configured for mounting on a wind turbine tower and for supporting a rotor-supporting assembly, the nacelle comprising a main unit, and at least one auxiliary unit. The auxiliary unit accommodates at least one operative component, e.g. a converter, a transformer, an electrolysis cell, or a battery. An operative component having a similar function is accommodated in another auxiliary unit which thereby facilitate shared operation, and easy and fast maintenance or replacement of the operative component.

Abstract: A retrofitted wind turbine installation for replacing a prior wind turbine installation includes the foundation of the prior wind turbine installation and a replacement wind turbine supported by the foundation, wherein the tower of the retrofitted wind turbine installation is a cable-stayed tower to reduce the bending loads imposed on the foundation. A method of retrofitting an existing wind turbine installation with a replacement wind turbine includes disassembling at least a portion of the existing wind turbine, assembling a replacement tower to a remaining portion of the existing wind turbine installation, attaching a plurality of stay cables between the tower of the retrofitted wind turbine installation and stay cable foundations, and attaching the replacement energy generating unit to the replacement tower.

According to the method, a crane (21) with a fixation structure (22) is provided and raised to the level of the load carrying structure by use of a hoisting rope. Once in position, the crane is used for handling the wind turbine component.

Abstract: A method of controlling an airborne object (2), such as a kite or a glider, is disclosed. The airborne object (2) may be an airborne energy generating system. The airborne object (2) is coupled to a part of a wind turbine (1), such as a nacelle (4), a tower (3) or a foundation, via a cable (7). At least one parameter related to movements (8) of the tower (3) of the wind turbine (1) is measured, and a cable force (9) of the cable (7) acting on the wind turbine (1) is adjusted, based on the at least one measured parameter. Thereby the tower movements (8) can be counteracted and fatigue can be reduced.

Abstract: A method for mounting or dismounting a wind turbine component of an energy generating unit in a multirotor wind turbine is disclosed. The multirotor wind turbine comprises a tower configured to support one or more load carrying structures each arranged for supporting at least two energy generating units arranged at or near its ends and at opposite sides of the tower. The method comprises positioning or dispositioning a first wind turbine component at a first end of the load carrying structure, yawing the load carrying structure approximately 180 degrees, and positioning or dispositioning a second wind turbine component at the second end of the load carrying structure opposite the first end. The method may be used in erecting or servicing a multirotor wind turbine.
