SOLUTION: The toner includes particles of a resin, an optional colorant, and an acid-containing crystalline polymeric, where the acid-containing crystalline wax is selected from carboxylic acid-terminated polyethylene waxes, high acid waxes and mixtures thereof, and where the toner particles are prepared by an emulsion aggregation process. SOLUTION: The method for producing the toner includes the steps of: bringing at least one of amorphous resin into contact with a crystalline resin in a form of a dispersion liquid; bringing the dispersion liquid into contact with at least one of surfactant to form small particles; aggregating the small particles to form a core; bringing the core into contact with an emulsion containing at least one of amorphous resin and at least one of charge controlling agent to form a shell covering the core; joining the cores having the shell to form toner particles; and collecting the toner particles.

SOLUTION: A process for preparing a toner is provided including the steps of solvent flashing wax and resin together to emulsify the resin and wax to sub-micro size; mixing the wax and resin emulsion with a colorant to form a mixture; heating the mixture at a temperature below a glass transition temperature of the resin to aggregate the resin, colorant and wax, to form aggregated particles; heating the aggregated particles and coalescent agent at a temperature above the glass transition temperature of the resin, to coalesce the aggregated particles to form toner particles; and isolating the toner particles.

SOLUTION: The toner composition comprises a resin substantially free of cross-linking; a cross-linked resin; a wax; and a colorant. Preferably, the toner composition has a tanδ of 0.63 to 0.90 at 150°C to 130°C. Further, the storage modulus (G') of the toner composition at 110°C is preferably 44,000. Preferably, the toner composition has a metal content of about 400 ppm (parts per million) to about 10,000 ppm.
