Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel composition for use as a print head face plate coating.SOLUTION: The coating comprises siloxyfluorocarbon (SFC), which is composed of networked precursors containing reactive siloxane groups attached to a fluorocarbon chain. The surface to which solid ink and ultraviolet (UV) curable ink do not adhere even if exposed at the high temperature for a long term can be manufactured by using the SFC coating. The advantage of the coating is that the defect related to the print head is few, and the life of the front face is long.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material used for a fusing member that has improved wear resistance/heat resistance and improved followability, and/or provides sufficient peeling without using a peeling agent in a fuser nip. SOLUTION: This composite material includes a polymer matrix containing polymer, and a plurality of functional silsesquioxane-based particles dispersed in the polymer matrix at an amount where at least one surface of a composite layer includes one or more structural surface shapes. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving wetting and adhesion of material for a printed matter contaminated with oil. SOLUTION: The method of treating electrophotographic printing paper includes: a step of providing an optical source of ultraviolet light including at least a first wavelength and a second wavelength; a step of applying the ultraviolet light to the electrophotographic printing paper contaminated with a fixing oil as the result of a fixing process; and a step of treating the electrophotographic printing paper with ultraviolet light and ozone. As the result of surface treatment with ultraviolet light and ozone, the surface energy of the contaminated printed matter is greatly increased and the treated electrophotographic printed matter exhibits superior adhesion thereafter.
