Abstract:
A filter element for filtering a fluid has a first filter medium arranged in annular shape and surrounding an interior. A second filter medium is provided, wherein the first filter medium and the second filter medium separate a clean side of the filter element from a raw side of the filter element. The first filter medium and the second filter medium are arranged such that a fluid to be filtered flows from the raw side of the filter element to the clean side of the filter element in parallel through the first filter medium and the second filter medium. The first filter medium is liquid-permeable and gas-impermeable and the second filter medium is liquid-impermeable and gas-permeable.
Abstract:
A filter for filtering fluids, in particular gas in petrochemical plants, has: a tubular cartridge which extends along a first axis, is designed to filter a fluid, and has a first and second annular end; a casing, which is connectable to a conduit of a petrochemical plant, houses the tubular cartridge, and has a first and second end support; and an axial compensating ring located between the tubular cartridge and the first or second end support.
Abstract:
A filter element for filtering a urea-water solution has a filter medium having an internal space. A supporting body is disposed in the internal space and has a hollow space which protrudes into the internal space. The hollow space is closed relative to a filtered side of the filter element and is open relative to an unfiltered side of the filter element. A compensation element is arranged in the hollow space.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a combination filter arrangement (1) having a hollow cylindrical filter element (2) for filtering a first fluid medium, having a temperature compensation medium separated by means of cylindrical separating wall (5), as a second fluid medium in an area between the separating wall (5) and an outer housing (9) of the combination filter arrangement (1). The first fluid medium is made of a urea-water mixture, or comprises a urea-water additive having a higher freezing temperature than the first and the second fluid medium, and at least the separating wall (5) has an elasticity such that the volume expansion by freezing the urea-water additive can be absorbed.
Abstract:
A filter cartridge that is designed to accommodate differences in lengths between an outer filter media and an inner filter media by providing a flexible connection between the inner filter media and the outer filter media. In addition, the endplates of the inner filter and the outer filter together define a gasket groove that receives a gasket. Using the endplates of the inner and outer filter media to define the gasket groove eliminates a mold parting line that can lead to fluid leakage.
Abstract:
A filter element for purifying a fluid at risk of freezing such as a urea-water solution for exhaust gas after treatment has an annular filter body and a support body surrounded by the filter body. The support body is made of an elastomer and is able to yield in a radial inward direction to compensate volume expansion when the fluid freezes.
Abstract:
A freeze resistant filter cartridge assembly, includes a filter cartridge including a filter housing and a filter media and having at least one component selected from a list of components including: the filter housing being formed of an increased elasticity polyolefin polymer having elongation and glass transition properties that allow for stretching of the housing during a freezing event rather than rupturing; a sleeve having a volume of air entrapped therein within and being disposed in the interior of the filter cartridge; and the filter housing formed of a conventional polyolefin having a wall thickness great enough to resist freeze induced expansion stresses. A method of forming a freeze resistant filter cartridge assembly is further included.

Abstract:
A filter device for filtering liquids having a filter element situated in a filter housing, with a deformable expansion element being provided in the filter housing so that when it is deformed, the volume of at least one section of the flow path of the liquid to be filtered in the filter housing is variable.
