Abstract:
A convertible motor vehicle roof, especially for hatchbacks or pickups, with at least one roof part which is supported to move lengthwise on the side roof members and when the roof is being opened, can be moved into the storage position. The roof part or roof parts can be moved onto a roof unit or rear unit before lowering of the roof into a storage space. The storage space compactly accommodates the roof part or the roof parts arranged stacked therein so that due to the reduced space requirement, the possibilities for movement and storage for the movable and storable roof parts on the motor vehicle body are improved.
Abstract:
A driving device for a folding top and/or a folding top compartment lid of a motor vehicle comprises an adjusting linkage and a driving motor. For compensating relatively large tolerances and concept-caused compensating lifts, the adjusting linkage has an adjusting element which, on one end, has a tolerance compensating element. A spring-supported and length-compensating tension/compression element is arranged on the other end of the adjusting element.
Abstract:
An actuating device for a motor vehicle top and a top receptacle cover comprises an actuating lever and a displacement device. By way of the actuating lever which can be pivoted from the driver's seat, the top receptacle cover can be moved between a closed position and an open position and the top between a second operating position and a third operating position. To further improve such an actuating device so that with a simple construction it functions well, avoids errors in manipulation and is easily manipulated, the actuating lever is pivoted in a first direction such that the top receptacle cover is moved from a closed position into an opened position. Consequently, a first coupling element, which is in operative connection with the displacement device, takes up a receiving position in which a second coupling element provided on the top can engage the first coupling element when the top is in the second operating position. By renewed pivoting of the actuating lever in a second, reverse direction, the top receptacle cover and the top are moved downwardly together into the closed position and the third operating position by the engaged coupling.
Abstract:
Method of functioning the retractable hard top system for convertible vehicles which implies splitting the ceiling in the middle (throught the longitudinal axis of the vehicle), mooving the rearwindow with the frame-like area arrount it on top of the trunk lid, opening the upper areas of the rear wings and folding compactly the remaining components of the roof inside the lateral areas of the trunk. This method significantly increases the usable volume of the luggage compartment and offers an easier access to the items carried in the trunk. Also, this method requires a less complex operation system which leads to less expensive manufactoring and maintenance costs.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A motor vehicle (5) is disclosed having one or more seat assemblies (10) each of which has an automatically stowable head restraint (13) associated with it. Each head restraint (13) is pivotally supported by a stowable rear roof panel (7) and is biased into a stowed position in which it lies adjacent to the rear roof panel (7) by a spring. A latch mechanism (20) is used to hold the head restraint in a lowered position in which it depends downwardly from the roof (panel 7) for use by an occupant of the motor vehicle (5). The latch mechanism (20) is automatically released by the process of stowing the rear roof panel (7) or a front roof panel (6).
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a vehicle, especially a limousine or a coupe, comprising a vehicle roof (4) with longitudinal roof posts (5) that are integral with the body, a roof opening (8) in said vehicle roof (4), a displaceable cover (9) for closing or at least partially exposing the roof opening (8) as desired, a rear window (11) adjoining the vehicle roof (4) and a luggage compartment lid (2). The cover (9) and the rear window (11) can be moved into an open position in which they are superimposed on the luggage compartment lid (2) by means of guiding devices. The invention also relates to a vehicle, especially a limousine or a coupe, comprising a vehicle roof with longitudinal roof posts (5) that are integral with the body, a roof opening (8) in the vehicle roof, a movable cover arrangement for closing or at least partially exposing the roof opening as desired and a baggage compartment adjoining the vehicle interior. The roof opening extends essentially over the entire vehicle interior and can be closed with the cover arrangement, which has at least two cover elements. Said cover elements are guided on side guides and when the roof opening is exposed, are moved along the longitudinal roof posts into a rear stowing area where they are stowed in a packed position, especially essentially upright.
