Abstract:
MOLDED, THERMOPLASTIC, THREE-DIMENSIONAL SYNTHETIC SOD PROJECTIONS EXTENDING FROM THE MATRIX TO SIMULATE BLADES OF GRASS AND A BONDED BACKING ON THE UNDER SIDE OF THE MATRIX. THE BACKING IS COMPOSED OF A SYNTHETIC FIBROUS, POROUS FABRIC WHICH SERVES TO PREVENT WEED GROWTH AND EROSION AND YET IS POROUS WHICH ALLOWS SEEPAGE OF WATER THROUGH THE SOD. THE FABRIC ALSO ALLOWS BONDING OF THE MATERIAL TO SUBSTRATES, SUCH AS ASPHALT. IN AN ADDITIONAL FEATURE, A FOAM MATERIAL, SUCH AS POLYURETHANE FOAM MAY BE BONDED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE FABRIC WHEN IT IS DESIRABLE THAT THE PRODUCT BE OF THE NON-SLIP TYPE SUCH AS DOORMATS, ETC.
Abstract:
A fabric (10) is formed of yarns having soiling-hiding (18) and soilingprone (18) characteristics which are visually distinct one from the other in the surface of the fabric (10) once the fabric (10) has been soiled. The soiling-prone yarns (18) comprise yarns formed of multi-lobal fibers or filaments (22) where the soiling particles collect in the cavities of the lobed surfaces. Preferably, the soilinghiding yarns (18) are formed of hollowfil synthetic fibers or filaments (24). By embedding one or more yarns of the soiling-prone type (18) in the fabric (10), e.g., carpet, the yarns (18) become differentially visually distinctive relative to one another upon soiling of the fabric.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention involves the technical field of daily necessities, and in particular, relates to an easy-to-clean waterproof and breathable bib fabric, a preparation method, and a bib. A layer structure of the bib fabric is as follows: a hydrophobic and oleophobic surface layer, a polyurethane waterproof layer, an antibacterial and antistatic layer, and a woven layer. The hydrophobic and oleophobic surface layer has waterproof and breathable properties, is not easy to be adhered to by dirt, and is easy to clean. The polyurethane waterproof layer keeps liquids from penetrating the fabric, and the porous structure also allows for breathability. The antibacterial and antistatic layer can remove the static electricity generated by the fabric, protect the polyurethane waterproof layer from being decomposed by molds, inhibit the growth of bacteria inside the woven layer, and produce antibacterial and deodorizing effects. Further, a bib using the fabric and a preparation method are provided.

Abstract:
A mat made on the basis of a nonwoven comprising fibrous parts predominantly of plastic which are in part thermoplastic and of low-melting point and in part high-melting point, and wherein coherence is obtained by superficial melting of the low-melting point thermoplastic fibers.
Abstract:
A structure based on velour fabric, having at least a first layer and a second layer and intermediate ribs connecting these layers provides a production-efficient, stable and nevertheless light-weight product. The velour fabric is made of a commercial yarn such as aramid fiber, carbon fiber, ceramic fiber or in particular glass fiber. The velour fabric is resin-hardened, wherein the intermediate ribs for rigid spacing elements between the first layer and the second layer.
Abstract:
A portable, fire-resistant barrier for the containment of marine oil spills comprises a continuous length of interwoven high-temperature resistant yarns and metallic wires, coated with a high-temperature resistant synthetic polymeric resin. The woven fabric barrier is buoyed by fire-resistant buoys and stabilized with ballast.
Abstract:
MOLDED, THERMOPLASTIC, THREE-DIMENSIONAL SYNTHETIC SOD IS PROVIDED WHICH COMPRISES A MATRIX HAVING OPENINGS, PROJECTIONS EXTENDING FROM THE MATRIX TO SIMULATE BLADES OF GRASS AND AN OPEN MESH, METALLIC SCREEN BONDED TO THE UNDER SIDE OF THE MATRIX. THE BACKING SERVES TO PROVIDE DIMENSIONAL STABILITY TO THE SOD AGAINST TEMPERATURE CHANGES. ADDITIONALLY, THE UNDER SIDE OF THE MATRIX MAY HAVE A POROUS, FIBROUS, SYNTHETIC FIBRIC BONDED THERETO THROUGH THE OPENINGS IN THE METALLIC SCREEN. THE FABRIC SERVES TO PREVENT WEED GROWTH AND EROSION.
