Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door device simple in structure, low in cost and capable of stably operating a sliding door to open/close without lateral deviation while positively levitating the sliding door by extremely simple structure using a low-cost permanent magnet.
SOLUTION: This sliding door device comprises a door plate 1 traveling guided by an upper rail 2 and a lower rail 3; a permanent magnet body 4 installed over the whole length of the lower rail 3 in a state of vertically putting magnetic poles; and a permanent magnet body 5 disposed at the lower face of the door plate 1 in a state of the same magnetic poles facing the permanent magnet 4. The door plate 1 is formed to levitate by repulsive forces of the relative permanent magnet bodies 4, 5, and further a lateral deviation preventing part 6 is provided for preventing the lateral deviation of the door plate 1 when the door plate travels.

Abstract: A vehicular charge port closure system includes a cover panel disposed at a vehicle and an actuator. The actuator includes an electrically operable motor that, when electrically operated to move the cover panel between a closed position and an opened position, drives gears to impart movement of an output element. The output element is connected to the cover panel. A clutch is disposed between one of the gears and the output element. When the motor is operated to drive the gears, the clutch is engaged to move the cover panel, and when the cover panel is manually moved, the clutch is disengaged. The clutch includes a magnetic biasing element.

Abstract: Vehicle barrier systems that can selectively move a barrier arm between a first position that prevents a vehicle from passing, or a second position that allows the vehicle to pass, wherein the barrier arm moves both upwardly away from a travel path and laterally along the travel path in a direction away from the vehicle. The barrier arm movement thereby leads the driver of the vehicle through the barrier system in a sweeping or leading movement. In some embodiments, an actuator assembly of the barrier system includes a breakaway assembly coupled to the barrier arm. In the event that an abnormal force (e.g. vehicle strike, vandalism, etc.) applied to the barrier arm exceeds a predetermined threshold, one or more drive magnets of the breakaway assembly disengage from the one or more magnetically-attractive elements to prevent damage to the barrier system.

Abstract: An integrated magnetic catch used to hold a horizontal hinged oven door open at a selected set partially open position. A pin is used to hold the two plates together and acts as a pivot point. Attached to a stationary plate is a bracket that houses a magnet. This bracket is formed having a preset angle that correlates with the degree that the door is to be opened. Abstract: A door closer including: a body defining a chamber therein; a piston slidably supported within the chamber, and dividing the chamber into first and second cavities either side of the piston, which in use receive liquid; a biasing device for biasing the piston towards the first cavity; a passageway connecting the first cavity to the second cavity for permitting the flow of fluid therebetween; a blocking member for controlling the flow of liquid through the passageway between the cavities; a moveable member moveable between first and second positions, wherein when the moveable member is in its first position the moveable member causes or permits the blocking member to assume a blocking position, thus preventing or at least inhibiting the flow of liquid from the first to the second cavity, and wherein when the moveable member is in its second position the moveable member causes or permits the blocking member to assume a non-blocking position, thus permitting the flow of liquid from the first to the second cavity; and a permanent magnet positioned adjacent or close to the moveable member for holding the moveable member in its first position; wherein the door closer includes a pole switching device that can produce a magnetic field that is in opposition to the magnetic field of the permanent magnet to effectively cancel out or overcome the magnetic field of the permanent magnet and produce a net magnetic field that is either zero or in the opposite direction to the magnetic field of the permanent magnet so as to effect movement of the moveable member between its first and second positions.
